We live about 3-4 hours away from Orlando so we usually take a few long weekends in the WDW area every year. Up till this visit, I was a true blue on site visitor. This time, I went for price and pool. We knew it was going to be a hot weekend and we wanted a great pool to enjoy. We went with our neighbors, who have never been to WDW before...our four boys are great friends.

We all really enjoyed MOWC...the prices were great...the location was very convenient, the pools (yet freezing) were beautiful and the rooms were nicely appointed and a basic size.

A funny highlight for our boys (all young) were riding the glass elevators up and down from the 28th floor...we told them it was as close to Tower of Terror that they were going to get.

We brought coolers and took our own drinks and munchies to the pool...enjoyed one frozen coctail which was delicious but pricey.

The only thing I would have to complain about was the parking situation...to self park was extremely far to walk and to valet was $14/day...a bit stiff for any nice hotel.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering it...we would rate it as high as the Poly (that's where we usually stay) without the convenience of the monorail and at half the price.

Feel free to reply with any questions you may have. Happy traveling!

Yes, I am a 46 year old kid and I even enjoyed the glass elevator
'attraction'. You must be a true FL native (pool water < 80-something = cold) JUST KIDDING!! :-). I used the shuttle from the garage, waited under 5 mins in both directions. I think as far as paid parking goes, this apparently is the new 'normal' as I believe Gaylord Palms charges for parking as well (either self or valet). Glad you enjoyed MOWC, I did too.

I loved this hotel! We also parked in the garage, and used the shuttle. Never had to wait more than 5 min. There was also a free parking lot outside of our building (the north tower) but it was always full when we would try to use it! Oh well! But a great hotel. I loved those down comforters on the beds!

Yes...I am a pool water wimp...but it really was cold...even the "non wimps" were commenting on it. I think they had a lot of rain the 2 days prior to us arriving...that will cool it down.

I'm a 47yo kid and I LOVED the glass elevators, too! We actually had a room near them and had a view of them from our balcony. The kids loved it!

I also loved that hotel. The parking was a nuisance but it was alot cheaper than the valet parking.

Right now I'm at the Vistana Resort which is a stone's throw away. My son always points at the Marriott and says proudly
"We stayed there!"

Thanks Flgirl & Aurora. Does MOWC offer good deals like Courtyard by Marriot?

MOWC good deals: the best 'surefire' deal I've found is $116 a night at lastminutetravel.com. If you're a gambler, MOWC has been won on priceline with $70-something /night (by me last year) in low season.
