I got home from my first trip home to the Boardwalk, and I had a wonderful stay! I bought points at the Boardwalk sight unseen in December, and it was nice to finally take my first trip home.

We were in room 3061, which overlooked the village green and had an obstructed view of the Boardwalk. We were pretty much located right above the walkway that leads to the pool. We had a huge balcony with three chairs and two end tables on it--it was so big we could have fit a full size table and chair out there. I spent a lot of time enjoying the balcony. My first evening there after staying at Jellyrolls until closing, I the Jellyrolls piano players walk by from my balcony, and I threatened to be out there every night pelting them with water balloons :)

I really liked the set up of the room. There were lots of little nooks and cranies to store luggage and stuff in. I actually didn't use to much of the cabinet space, though. I didn't want to have to spend a half hour opening doors and cabinets when I was packing, so I kept it to just a couple of drawers.

The room had a day bed in it. It was nice to have plenty of space to sit and lounge around the room.

Overall, I was thrilled with my first trip home, and I'm looking forward to my next trip in December.

That's just plain mean!!!! :rotfl2:

Bet you're already counting the days until you return home!!! :teeth:

Barb, it wasn't too mean. Chuck asked me if he could join me to throw water balloons at them. I did wind up yapping with them from my balcony one evening, though.

Hi Karen,

Glad you had a great first trip!
I just got back from BWV too. I loved the view from my studio..tho, unlike yours, the majority of balconies are veryvery small. Due to fam problems I didn't get to visit Jellyrolls or meet up with the Dis'ers at the Canadian Pav. last week. I didn't wear my lime green Mickey that I spent hours (well, I do tend to exaggerate) making for just that purpose. I only spent 1 1/2 days in the parks, but because of no lines really did all the things I wanted to! I thought the weather and lack of crowds were perfect and I'm planning on going again same time next year.

I walked around to all the wings trying to get a feel for room views as I am renting out some of my points to some nice people who want a 2 bedroom there in December. I wondered about the rooms, like yours, that were in that courtyard and above the health club, the Wyland Gallery and such...are these room PW or PBW????

I go back in October and could only get (so far) a PW and I'm not sure I want a room over one of the pools. So just checking my options! I'd love to have a huge balcony! Was your room a studio?

Coloradobelle, my room was a Preferred Garden/Water view (I think). It was definitely not a perferred Boardwalk view--that was just a bonus. If you are facing the Wyland Galleries, my room was the last room with the big balcony on the left hand side. It was a dedicated studio.

nothing like being stumbling distance home from Jellyrolls! I am so happy to hear you enjoyed your first trip home.

BWV is my favorite resort.

SHould we start a water balloon brigade?? :rolleyes1

Glad to hear that you had a great time!!

Ok, so where's the updated picture with the Jellyroles men?

You know, I didn't have a picture taken with my guys Scotty and Ray this trip. I did have a picture taken with the new piano guy, Pete. But as soon as I have time to resize it and make it legal, I'm going to put my new favorite picture of Scotty in my signature.

Laura, defintely start getting those water balloons ready for my next trip ;)

I think Scotty likes it when I'm staying at the Boardwalk or within walking distance so I don't have to worry about getting back to my room safely (unless there is some creepy guy bugging me at the bar).

Glad to hear you enjoyed your first trip home. Boardwalk is our home too and we love it there. Heading back mid-June!

Glad you had a great first trip home, Karen! It occurs to me that you had just about the PERFECT room for you! :sunny:

Since Carol1231 asked about my siggie picture, I figured I'd give this a little bump to point out that I have my new favorite picture of Jellyrolls pianoman Scotty in my siggie.

Glad you had a good time Karen!!! Our first trip home was in the same area...ded. studio on the top floor over Muscles and Bustles walkway. Loved being able to see the Boardwalk and lake at night. I don't think we'll ever get a view to compare with that one!!! I can't wait to compare BWV with BCV in a month!!!
