No, not doing that! Get your Disney minds out of the gutter. =P

In early May of this year my wonderful boyfriend Curtis and his great mom Chantell took me with them on their first Disney trip of the year. I had never been before and this truly was a magical experience!! I'd been surfing the disboards for months before the trip, looking at restaurant reviews and reading everyone's tips, and I decided it was time I tried to do one of these trip reports. It might not be the best, but I'll try!

DAY ONE: Thank You For Flying American Airlines

So, day one of our trip started off with Curtis and I going to the airport. When we got there we had a few setbacks, like the people in front of us in security taking forever due to a very upset child who simply did not want to remove his shoes, and our flight being delayed because of some nasty weather. We passed the time, however, with adorable playing cards we bought at CVS that had the princesses on them! They were like five dollars for two miniature decks of cards and came in a cute case. The games were Old Maid and Go Fish. On the plane we watched Hercules on the laptop, but I fell asleep a few minutes in to it. All in all, our flights weren't too bad, but we were very excited to finally get to Disney that night!! We stayed at the Coronado Springs, which was a very nice hotel, though the decor was a little questionable. It seemed like their idea of Aztec theming was to put a whole bunch of random colours together and call it authentic. Still, we were very comfortable in the room, and I slept well every night.

Day Two: It's A Jolly Holiday With Mary

On our first official day in Disney we had reservations at a restaurant in the Grand Floridian. We had wanted to get in to the 1900 Park Faire buffet but it was already all booked when we called. When we got to the Floridian we decided on a whim to check for cancellations at 1900, and sure enough, they could see us! We were all excited, especially Chantell, a WDW veteran who had never done this breakfast before.

The first character we met was Mary, who looked absolutely lovely in her white and red dress. She was very sweet and very talkative to all of us. She even kneeled down on the floor and played a bit with one of the small children seated at the table beside us. It was a great way to start our trip.

Next we met Alice and the Mad Hatter. Alice was very excited that I had her on my lanyard! Somehow I only ended up with this picture of Alice signing my autograph book (which I need to post pictures of because they were customized and awesome!), but it's still great. She was so tiny, and Mad Hatter was hilarious.

Tigger was next in line. He wasn't as energetic that morning since it was pretty early, but he liked our autograph books and gave me a big hug when I told him it was my first time at Disney.

Winnie the Pooh completed the characters for the day. He was trying to steal me away from Curtis! He wrote 'I love you!' in my book and was tugging me away from Curtis in my chair. This was adorable and loads of fun. I love characters!!

Alright, that's enough for tonight, but I'll be sure and update this with the rest of my trip soon.
Katy.
