Also my first trip to the food and wine festival.

A little background, I am recently separated. He never liked Disney and would do things like give me the silent treatment while we were there for no apparent reason. I found that he prevented me from really enjoying life. Would tell me I was getting carried away if I laughed too loud or acted too happy.

That said, Disney has been my happy place since my first visit in 2007. 20 or so visits later, I still love it. I have never been to the food and wine festival, and found myself without a partner this year due to separation. I hesitated a bit but went anyway. I had a boardwalk view studio, from which I could see the fireworks from Fantasmic, Illuminations and Magic Kingdom in the distance. Good thing that is because I was so tired from my days in the parks and evenings at F&W to stay out for the fireworks.

I booked 4 wine seminars and a tequila seminars, a couple of table service dinners. I was so busy during the week that it went by really fast. I found that I was talking to people all the time (my fear was that I'd be lonely). Folks at the F&W seem to be relaxed and open and friendly.

This was a great experience for me. I hope I get to do it again. Thanks to DVC I was able to do it this time, and feel safe and at home. Love my DVC.

Glad you had a wonderful time and hope you have many more
magical times at disney

How easy was it to find seating near the F&W booths? That's the only thing I dislike about being at the F&W solo. When DH comes with me, one of us can stand in line and get the food while the other one finds a spot to sit/stand at a table. When I'm solo, too often after I get my food I find myself eating while I just stand.

Glad you enjoyed your solo trip! I've only gone 2x alone, but after the 2nd time, I'm right at home with being by myself, dining alone, park touring or just hanging by the pool. Definitely in my comfort zone.

Totally get what you mean about still loving it after 20 trips! I just came back yesterday, and I still had goosebumps walking into the BW lobby and found myself teary eyed leaving! It's that easy to love!

(Hi Dorothy/Simba's mom. Hope all is well, enjoy the holidays!)
