For the record, I don't care for rollercoasters either. I used to not be afraid of heights, but I've had some recent bad experiences that have made me find a fear for them. So tall rollercoasters are something I don't care for.
Disney coasters are not the same as others. A good comparison would be a gory horror movie to a suspenseful thriller. Disney coasters seem to capitalize on theme and senses more than raw thrill. For example, Space Mountain isn't that fast, and you have no idea how high you are or aren't. It's about the fact that you can't see anything and you don't know what is next. Everest has a heights aspect when you are ascending the mountain, but other than that, you really don't see heights. It's more about going backwards. Thunder Mountain is about the caves and the themeing. Rock N Rollercoaster is once again, completely in the dark. Music is blaring in your ears, and it's just a huge adrenaline rush.
That's compared to other rollercoasters I have ridden at Busch Gardens and the like that are about the heights, the drop, etc. That's just not what Disney coasters are about.

I rode Space Mountain first and it was rough. I got off the ride and was terrified to ride another. My friend talked me into BTMRR. We were put on the first car. Best ride ever! Now I love all the mountains-even Space. Try it. If you don't like it, it is over very quickly.
