I'm finally getting excited about the planning. Since there are so many that will need to plan and save (besides us) for the wedding, we're sending out save the date cards....even before our contract is signed. A risk we're willing to take - especially since it's a Thursday, and we'll be willing to make adjustments if necessary to get the date.

With the help of Angela (Cinderella Fan) for doing our logo, I ordered them from Vista Print. For 50 of them it only cost $54. Not bad for a custom invite, and the quality was decent. I then did a newsletter for the wedding party. We'll be using DVC points as our gift to them and giving them the first two nights of their stay.

What's everyone think?

They look great and the newsletter looks great!

Thanks Everyone! I was pretty proud of them myself. Guess all of Vista Prints nagging emails finally paid off for them, and me! I think they turned out really nice.

How did you do the newsletter? Both look great!

I did the newsletter using Microsoft publisher. It was really easy using one of their templates and just tweaking it to the way I wanted it.

Those look awesome....professional....you did a great job!!!

I need to get microsoft publisher..i have microsoft picture it, which is similar & i love it....time to upgrade!!

they are gonna be impressed when they see those!!!

What will happen if you do not get your date as I thought you could not book till 12 months??

I'm really not worried about not getting the date. It's a Thursday, and while we may not get our FIRST choice, we were told the date itself shouldn't be a problem. Since Karl and his groonsmen are all in the fire service, they need to put the request in for their time off, and unfortunately, that's before the 12 month mark. A chance we're willing to take. A little pixie dust and Disney magic, and I'm sure it will be fine.

we thought the same! we are 14 months out and have just been told that another couple is interested in the date we want which is annoying! we have booked our flights and hotels as we are flying from the uk

That really is a bummer. We're hoping that we get all of our first choices, however, we're flexible if need be about the locations, so if we HAVE to we can do whatever necessary to accomodate the date.

I hope it all works out for you.

What version of Publisher do you have? We've got an older version and I was playing around on it and didn't come up with anything like you had. Any chance you could email me the pic or the newsletter so I can share with my SIL?

Thanks,
Denise

Denise I have 2003 Publisher. Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the copy that I have. I'm happy to help out in anyway that I can.

LOVE the theme! :)

Your save-the-dates are great!!! :thumbsup2 I love the castle pic and the wording that you selected is just perfect! The newsletters look awesome too!
Congratulations and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get all of your first picks for your date!! :shamrock:

LOVE the theme! :)

Thanks Katie! I guess great minds think alike. I am a flip flop lover. DF swears if I bring home another pair he'll likely take the ring back! :rotfl: I even wear them in the winter! So the theme just kind of flowed! I even found dyable flip flops for the bridesmaids to wear and still have them match! What other ideas did you use with your theme?
