G'day all, Luke from Australia here. :beach:

Now that I am under 100 days :hourglass to go, I thought I would start going over things I needed to still before my trip. Turns out, I don't have a whole lot let to do, but still there are things one always forgets.

I booked my trip on December 30th last year, for a November 29th arrival this year, so it has been a slow torture waiting for the days to pass. But enough about that, lets see what needs doing.

My flights are booked, a nice 14 hour flights from Melbourne, Australia to Los Angeles and then 2 flights from there to Orlando. Currently I have them booked, but American Airlines keep cancelling flights and moving me around, so I hope they stay booked. The total travel time, if there are no delays is around 29-30 hours, from door to door.

I have booked myself into Art of Animation for 3 nights, because it is new and then I am moving over to Saratoga Springs for the remainder of my time in Orlando.

Right now, the only things left for me to do before I get to WDW, is book a ticket for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Universal Studios Tickets.

I have booked my dining, for the meals that wont be covered by my DDP. I had two dinners last year that required bookings, this year I have more than doubled it and for the first time I shall be eating at Le Cellier, Be Our Guest (have eaten lunch here, not dinner) Mama Melrose, Chef Mickey's and Planet Hollywood. Though I am not sure on that last one.

The things I am not sure about getting are the Memory Maker, because I am going solo, I dont know how the photographers will react to taking a picture of one person, my final concern is shopping outside of Disney. I know there is a mall called Florida Mall and it is a nice place, but getting to and from there can be quite troublesome, so I am looking for options, without renting a car.

Thats about all the updates I can think of right now, of course things may change, but as it stands right now, its 83 days and counting :cool1:

Hello :goodvibes

I can't believe your travel time is that long! That is insane! Maybe Disney needs to make an Australian Disney.

We are also staying at Saratoga in October! I'm pretty excited about it. Think we'll request Congress Park so we can be near Downtown Disney.

I would definitely get Memory Maker if I were you. First, you'll get all the ride photos so that is sweet. Second, it might be hard to get any pictures of yourself if you don't. I don't think the photographers will care. My friend went to MK one night while all the rest of us were tired and she got tons of pictures taken. It seemed like the photographers may have even spent more time with her.

I'm not really sure how you could shop. How will you be getting to Universal? Is it possible you could stop on the way at a mall or outlet?

The travel time is crazy thats for sure. If it was something that I was concerned about, I could always go to Hong Kong or Tokyo Disneys. They are 8-9 hour flights, Shanghai soon too, but Disneyworld is just so awesome.

I am not sure where I will request, I dont really mind where I am, as long as it is quiet :D.

Yeah, you make a good point about the ride photos, I did not think of that. Do you know if there is a list that explains what rides have it?

I am doing a shuttle to Universal, the people that do that, do the Florida mall, but they only do a pick up and drop off at set times, I dont know about anyone else, but 6 hours in a mall is a little much for me.

Thought it was time for a nice update.

Sadly, very little has happened over the past few weeks, I have been stuck at home with Bronchitis, but now I am finally getting over it I can start to see my holiday at the end of the year.

So, what is left for me to do. Well at this stage not a whole lot, I have my ticket to the Christmas party, which was one of the last items I had to check off.

The only thing left for me to do is to purchase my annual pass when I get to Orlando, sadly as I am getting the premiere pass I can't do that online.

With that, I am done. Now I have to countdown the remaining 38 days.
