My First Pre Trip Report!- September 2010

Hi everyone!

my first trip to Disneyland Paris is 4 weeks today! .

I love reading everyone's trip reports and pre trip reports so I thought i would write one of my own to get me even more in the mood for the Disney magic!

The Cast

Me: Ciara, 24 years old, loves Disney, been to WDW 3 times but never to Paris!
My Boyfriend: Michael, also 24, likes Disney but not as much as me! been to WDW 3 times but never to Paris
My Boyfriend's little sister: Jodie, 12 years old, loves Disney, has never been abroad or even on a Plane!

We fly from Glasgow airport with Easyjet on Wednesday 29th September at 8:45am and arrive at CDG at 11:35am (Paris time). We have booked the VEA bus to take us to the Hotel Cheyenne were we will be staying for 3 nights. I am predicting that we should arrive at the hotel about 1:30pm ish? and I am hoping we can check in, dump our bags and head straight to the parks!

A quick question regarding check in, I know that rooms are not available until 3pm but can we put our bags into storage around 1:30pm but then not collect them until the park closes at 6? Once we dump our bags I would rather just head out to the parks for the full day instead of having to come back at 3pm to collect them.

We have booked the Half Board Standard vouchers for our stay but we plan to use them for face value so we can go to Cafe Mickey!

As I said, I have never been to DLRP before and although I have been to WDW I plan to go here with an open mind and see what Paris has to offer!

A few questions

Has anyone ever stayed at the Cheyenne before? if so, which breakfast time slot would you reccomend ( I have heard that the end of September can be quite quiet?)

What is the food at breakfast/dinner like?

Is there a hairdryer in the room?

Should the parks be relativley quiet at this time of year?

What is the typical weather like at this time?

we always stay in the Cheyenne its lovely and i have found it always clean and has a great theming.
To answer your Questions;
Breakfast times, we always go for the first slot about 7 am (i think). it can get really busy at breakfast times (also we can have breakfast and go for Magic hours) they have for breakfast pain au chocolate (sorry about spelling)
toast (if the toaster is working we have been a few times and it has not been) cereals, rolls to put cheese and meat in and yogurts fruit etc also tea coffee and juice. I can not help with evening meals i have never eaten at the Cheyenne, but plan to try it this year.
There is no hairdryer in the room but i believe you can hire them (i may be wrong) i always take my own.
We went in sept 2 years ago and it was reasonably quiet (except crush as always ) but weekends expect longer queues i think the longest we queued was 50 minutes for crush then 10 minutes for the others. Weather wise we still wore shorts and t-shirts but needed a light jacket for early mornings and evenings as it gets a bit chilly. We had sunny days but had a couple of thunder storms.
Regarding the luggage and check in i have never taken my own luggage to the hotel as i always go by Eurostar and use the express baggage service. but if your room is ready before the checking in time they are usually good and let you check in. ( you choose your breakfast slot when checking in its a little card with the time on you get one per room)
