With rising Disney prices and not wanting the hastle agian of renting points my girls and I decided to stay off site for our January trip. My oldest decided she would rather stay off site if she could have her own room.

We will be staying at Windsor Hills in a townhouse. I used All Star Vacation Homes for the convenience. The townhouse we are staying in has a Mickey kids room. My girls are so excited about having their own room, private pool, and play at the castle playground. How is pool heat in January. Has anyone stayed in this unit?

I'm a bit nervous about staying off site.
Please share tips, advice, and knowledge. Thanks!

I don't know which unit you're staying in but we've stayed in two different townhouses at WH and loved it. You will need pool heat for January. It's worth every penny. Even if it's chilly outside you're only three steps from your patio doors and while you're in the water it's nice, just make a run for the inside when you get out. Our pool was heated to about 90F.
You can park right beside your front door. The resort pool is nice too and it's well heated. We're taking our grandkids in Nov and they can't wait to play on the playground.
WH is very safe but still take normal precautions about leaving stuff laying around. It's very easy to get to Disney using either Sherberth Rd or World Dr. You're only about 5 min from AK and 10 or so to the rest of the parks. It's very easy to leave the parks for a rest and go back later on.
If you have any questions I can try to answer or someone else will. :)

Don't worry, be happy! There are loads of good reports on Windsor Hills - most folks who rent direct wonder why they ever stayed in a hotel!

I haven't stayed in WH yet (we will this coming Jan.), but we have used All Star Vacation Homes. We were very happy with this company and I think all of their homes look high quality.

We had a couple of very minor issues with our house in Windsor Palms last year and All Star had someone out right away to deal with it.

I love the comfort factor of having a house to come "home" to after a long day in the parks. The extra space, full kitchen and lower price all really make up for the few extras you get by staying on Disney property. We can't wait for our Windsor Hill stay.
