Hey...

I am excited as I'll get to experience HHN tonight for the first time! It's the Employee Preview Night. (we get to go and take a guest).

From what some of my co-workers who are working houses are saying this is going to be a GREAT year! I've never been as I didn't move to Florida until last January and never visited during the times HHN was running.

I'll let you all know what I think!

Smiles,

Holly

We are going too! I'm excited and looking forward to tonight as well! :jumping3: :Pinkbounc

Hey...

Mom...have I met you at all? I know I've met the Dark Marauder as he said hello on his way out of the PreShow I was doing.

Smiles,
Holly

Looking forward to your reviews. Have fun!! :maleficen

I'm so happy this year we decided to go early just a little over a week left for me. :Pinkbounc

I don't know. He seems to know everyone when we go somewhere! :smooth: I'll have to ask him. Where do you work?

I agree. See you Saturday!

I'm tired and uncreative, so here is a copy/paste of my first impressions I posted elsewhere.

Possible Minor Spoilers below!!!!

Quick rankings, sure to change as the even goes on:

1- Demon Cantina
2- Blood Ruins
3- Body Collectors
4- Cold Blind Terror
5- Where Evil Hides
6- Terror Mines
7- The Skool

1- Demon Cantina- this was where diso was last year? Wow! Lots of great scares, just loved it overall.

2- Blood Ruins, could have used a bit more scareactors, but lvoed what was there and loved the sets. I had no idea where I was going at times, and I love that!

3- The Body Collectors- OMG, those guys DID look like The Gentlemen from Buffy, that was awesome! A bit short, but scary, and I loved the hair room. for some reason a scareactor ( who was behind the wall) and I had a stare-off going. Awkward, but it added to the creepiness of the house. And my apologies to "The Gentleman" who I scared at directly into his face, I did not see you coming, stupid strobes!

4- Cold Blind Terror. Out of the remnants of Disorientorium, rises Cold Blind Terror. The crowd control was awful, we went so slow, and I can tell line swill become insane. I loved the floating ghosts, the foam room, the strobe room after the foam room, the window guys, and even the flashlight guys. The ending didn't work for me, and there was this one room ion the middle of the house I found dumb (was he ice skating? wha?)

5- Where Evil Hides. Pretty Set. Not a lot of scares. But, I will say that the room with The storyteller scared me a lot. I can see this one going up in my rankings.

6- Terror Mines. I felt like I was walking through a hallway with rags hanging down. I don't think a single scareactor targeted me (and believe me, I'm as easy a scare as you can get) and it seemed just to be more of the same as you went on. FYI, I was not wearing the helmet.

7- The Skool. Blah. It felt like parts of Deadtropolis and Horrors in Wax mixed together. I got a few decent scares here, but nothing really stood out.

BUT, I will say that IMO, no house is a dud, woohoo!

I did not see all of the TerraThrone show, but the Bike and the queen (?) were cool.

Bill & Ted: Only, my 2nd B&T show, and I'm not sure what to think of it. A few funny jokes here and there, but thats all. The guy playing W.W. was awesome though.

Scarezones: Not too impressed

Maldakken Pass: Elvish for "Walk-through area with a couple props and food and booze and carnival games!"

Potential Spoilers!

I only saw Demon Cantina and the Bill & Ted show. Demon Cantina is very cool. They biker theme is excellent. The whole biker area in Marvel is cool. The Harleys they have are very loud, and very cool looking. :moped:

B&T is better this year than it has been the past 2-3 years. :)

The scareactors in Toon Lagoon are weird.

The scareactors in Seuss Landing have plain, but cool costumes.

Lost Continent has orcs and goblins...AGAIN! :bored:

The POE area is very cool looking and the big throne for the Queen is scary looking. The POE characters are awesome. ::yes::

Chainsaws are in every area, except Seuss.

Thanks Slacking and DM :cool1:

I'm looking forward to next weekend even more now. Soooo glad we are not waiting until the end this year to go.

How dark was Terror Mines?

I can't believe you forgot the most important scarezone in the whole park, Cemetary Mines! ;-) Ugh, now i'm upset, I was working last night and I know our area was getting alot of screams. :earseek:

Um just a question for veteran HHN people. When I was little I had a very bad haunted house experience so I have been avoiding the whole thing. I get startled and scared very easy. I am almost 15. Should I go or by pass the whole thing?
Thanks

The only one I liked was the Body Collectors.
I thought BC was OK. The wait was too long IMHO...about 100 mins! I liked Demon Cantina and Where Evil Hides the best. We didn't do The Skool or Terror Mines..I'll check those out next week.
