I will be writing my trip report in sections since I could be here all night if I did it now! I am still trying to catch up on sleep too!

Our family: My DH(39), me(38), my DS(10), and my DS(7)

Resort: POR!! LOVED IT!!! Everything went smoothly!

First Day: Monday, October 22nd. Kids went to school in the AM. My DH and I picked them up around noon to get our flight to the airport. We had a direct flight on Airtran which worked out great. Oh...one word of advice. DO NOT bring full tubes of toothpaste in your carry-ons! We went through security in Indianapolis, and I hadn't traveled for a while and they took all our toothpaste! Good toothpaste, going to be thrown away. Guess toothpaste is considered a "gel". CRAZY!!!!:sad2: Got into Orlando about 5:30 pm. We did not use the yellow luggage tags for Magical Express because I feel better knowing where my bags are at all times! Busses were already there, but we had to wait for other flights so we were on the bus for a while. Arrived at the resort, and the first thing I said was "WOW! What a beautiful resort!". Went to check-in and was the only one in line. I had requested AB section before I arrived, and we got it! We were in building 25, which was about a 5-7 minute walk to the main building. I was a little tired after dragging our luggage that far, but soon realized that we had a great location! We were right next to a quiet pool and the laundry! Bus stop was close too, and we were the first stop so we never had to stand if we were going to the parks from there. After we got to our room, we were hungry so we went to the food court. Food is not bad! They have a make your own salad which was awesome! After dinner(and after we realized that half the people from the food court were from Indiana), we went to the bar to watch the Monday night football game between the Colts-Jacksonville. After the game, we went back to our room to go to sleep. WEATHER: When we arrived in Orlando at 5:30, the pilot said the temperature was about 88 degrees. Felt warmer than that to me! Think the heat index was in the mid 90's! Very humid!!! Anyway, so nice to be in Disney again! My DH was doing OK at this point and dealing with traveling! He is NOT a Disney fan! There will be more on this later! On to day 2.....

DAY 2:

My DS10 and I walked over to POFQ in the AM around 9:30. Was a very pleasant walk. Saw lots of wildlife on the way(squirrels, rabbits, lizards). Went to POFQ to get some begniets. We got them to go and walked back to POR to share them with the rest of the family. They were not as good as Cafe Du Monde, but not bad! We then took the boat to Downtown Disney for a little while to do some shopping. We were going to rent a car today to go see the Space Shuttle take off, but when we had checked in the night before the castmembers told us that it would be a 3 hour drive one way with traffic! We decided not to go since we had our tickets for MNSSHP that night. We then took the boat back to eat lunch at the resort. Went to the pool for a little bit, then got ready for MNSSHP. My DH did not dress up(BORING!!), I was a nurse, my DS10 wore his soccer uniform, and my DS7 wore his karate uniform. We had reservations at LTT for dinner at 4:20. Got to the MK a little before 4pm, and they were already handing out wristbands. Went to eat, and the food was OK. Nothing to scream home about, but not bad either. Kids enjoyed the characters though! Our waiter was from Indiana as well, so that was nice to have a fellow Hoosier serving us!!! Oh...the apple cobbler was DELICIOUS!!!! After dinner, we started doing the rides, and there were no more than 10 minute waits for anything. It was great! The kids enjoyed the trick-or-treat stops, and each got one full bag of candy. At the end of the night on the way out, the CM's were handing out full size bags of Hershey Kissables! Parade and fireworks were AWESOME!!! The fireworks are 360 degrees around you, and very bright! I thought I was going to have to pull out my sunglasses! I still can't get the parade music out of my head though! I even liked the "Boo to You Parade" better than "Spectromagic". I know....hard to believe!!! All in all, a good night. I thought the extra money spent on the party was worth it! The weather was HOT during the day, but by the time the party started, it had cooled down some. And NO RAIN!!!! Any questions about the Halloween party, just ask me! I better start working on day 3!!!!
