Hi everyone,
** * * * * * * *This is the first time i'd come across a Pre trip report! I love it ! **
A great idea to get all your plans down in one place , just writing it all down is a great way of seeing it all come together especially when at times things seem impossible, ticking off the little steps really helps.
So any way here goes my first attempt:
Firstly who we are,
Me- I'm Vicky , i'm 24 atm will be 25/26 when we go back ( will explain later) . I have always loved Disney and I went to DLP when I was 9, it was always my dream to go Florida so i was over the moon when DH said we could go for our honeymoon last year, although bittersweet because the only reason we could get married was because his mother passed away in 2007 and when his grandmother passed away in 2010 she kindly left his mothers share of her estate to him, * * * *For this i will be eternally grateful, they were both amazing women i am proud i got to spend the time i did with them!*
Anyways we had a very unconventional honeymoon as we had DH senior carer in tow but we look at it as an oppurtunity to spend a special time with an amazing friend.*
I knew from the moment i set foot in MK i was home and i would never really feel complete anywhere else , so much so when i arrived back in England i was inconsoleable for days!*
Emotional wreck over a holiday! Drama queen !! But it wasn't just a holiday it was truley MAGIC!
My DH- Adam - we met in our secondary school when we were 12. We were on a school trip to germany and met through a mutal friend, we were in a group together with a teaching assistant looking after us ( who happens to now be my DH senior carer) we hit it of straight away and went out but, it fizzled out like teenage love does but we met again on and off till we were 17 and 18 an we knew it was ment to be.
Adam has cerebal palsy and uses a wheelchair all of the time, he is quadreplegic as it affects all limbs but he is very independant!*
Thom- He is DH senior carer and one of our closest friends ( tbh it would be very awkward for DH to be cared for by someone who he didn't like so we knew he was the best person for the job since we were at school) he is only 6 years older than us so it's great to be able to share interests.
We all went in 2011 but for our next trip we will hopefully be taking :
My FIL - Adams dad , Danny, He has taken Adam to WDW twice before after Adam had some major surgery but he hasn't been since 2001, and he really likes Epcot
And Adam Wicked Step mother ( in the good meaning of wicked) lol - this would be her first ever disney experience at 50+ years young , i'm hoping that she will still feel like a princess as everybody should be a prince or princess once in their life,
She met Adams dad after a messy divorce and they are now very happy , they married in december 5 months after Me and Adam , so this trip i will get them theor happy ever after buttons!*
When we are going :
Ahhh now that depends what we do know is that it will be the last 2 weeks in August, what is still up in the air is the year! Either 2013 or 2014
For the simple reason that Thom is also a childminder, who with the adult care he gives Adam and others he is nearly always working , one of the only 24/7, 365 days a year childminders who does a lot of pick up work for social services!
We have to book him over a year in advance to let his plan his schedule. At the moment he is trying to secure us a slot in 2013 but if not everything in our plan will stay the same, except another year to wait.
