This is our first trip to the Dis (well my second, but I haven't been since I was 5 and Epcot had just opened :rotfl2:) and also the first trip for the friends we are travelling with.

We have 5 days on the dining plan and wonder what you think about our ADRs. I have one extra so I'm not sure if I should keep them all and pay OOP for one or cancel.

day 1: MK Crystal Palace Breakfast
1900 Park Fare Dinner
day 2: Epcot Akershus Breakfast
day 3: DHS Hollywood and Vine Lunch
day 4: AK no ADRs. I want to try the Yak and Yeti CS
day 5: MK/free day 'Ohana Breakfast
day 6: MK/free day Liberty Tree Tavern Lunch

This is such a hard decision. I also have a dinner reservation for Narcoossee's for DH and I that I will be canceling I think...lol ugh this is all so hard!

For the Narcoossee's would you consider it worth it to pay OOP for it? DH and I never go out and the reservation is kind of special as we had our Anniversary at the beginning of the month and didn't celebrate it. The night we have dinner there also would have been my mom's birthday (she passed in '05).

Any advice would be great.

I think you made excellent choices. We've never done Y&Y CS but we loved TS. It was one of DH's favourite meals. We were on the DxDDP and Narcoossee was my favourite meal because I had the whole Maine lobster. We had great service and wonderful food. We had a terrific table with a view of the castle. But paying OOP I'm not sure. Have a great trip

Great choices. If you decide to get rid of one, Hollywood and Vine was just so-so. No regrets that we ate there, but there's better food out there. If you decided to keep them all, look at the allears.net menus to see which meal would be cheaper, and pay OOP for that one! Enjoy! We love Disney dining, and usually plan our days around our ADR's. (Sad, but true) ;).

Thank you all so much. I appreciate the advise :)

I was able to drop the Hollywood and Vine and pick up a more desired 50's Prime Time Cafe right at 1:00! What is up with all of these awesome ADRs coming available??

If you have to pay OOP for one I think the CP breakfast might be the cheapest. Glad you got a 50's Prime Time ADR. I like the atmosphere and the wait staff is hilarious.

Crystal Palace breakfast is a great choice! It's my favorite. The food is really good (do NOT miss the Cinnamon Puffed French Toast!), characters are fun, and setting is nice.

I wasn't impressed with the food at 'Ohana breakfast, so if you had to drop an ADR I would vote for this. But the kids will definitely enjoy it. The character interaction was great and it's a fun atmosphere.

As for Narcoossee's, I can't recommend it. I did not find it to be worth the signature status and it was hard to stomach those prices when getting food that was just ok.

For a romantic anniversary dinner, my top recommendation with be Citricos. It's elegant, but not stuffy, and the service is amazing. Not to mention what I think is the best food on property! It's also much more calm and relaxing than Narcoossee's. If you want to know more, I have reviews of both places in my dining reports - links in my signature.

I would drop 1900 PF and H&V in a heartbeat..the food is nasty nasty nasty

I personally don't like to comment on peoples decisions. What I like you may not and visa versa. I also wouldn't drop any of them. If you chose them to make an ADR, there must be a reason. Stick with your gut. As far as which to pay for OOP, In most cases breakfast is the cheapest meal of the day. But before deciding which to pay for OOP, check the lunch menu at 50's and see what everyone would order. If you are not the types that don't want to force dessert down your throats or would find it much easier to split things, 50's might actually work out to be the cheaper meal. It all depends on you and your parties taste.

To be honest with you, I think you have made terrible decisons with your ADRs. In that you are on the dining plan you should try to get your money's worth. Most of your ADRs are for breakfast. Switch them to dinner and then we can talk. Also keep in mind you want to avoid excessive travel just to get to a meal.

Cheers!

Max
