My first 20 mile training run

lots of luck!

Be sure to include nutrition on the course in some form other than your gel packs. Something like orange slices, banana--animal cookies. :)

Good luck, also remember it is not about speed, it is a long slow run, take your time and enjoy it!

How do you carry food along? My belt w/bbottle has a tiny pocket that I struggle to get a couple of gels into. I've taped a banana to my belt, but it really does look ridiculous:banana: Not to mention it will probably fall off and I'll slip on it!

Good luck. Run SLOW, take tunes, take munchies. :) As for taping fruit to yourself, please don't take a watermelon on your next long run! :rotfl2:

How did you know I put a watermelon in my running skirt for this morning?? Do you have a camera into my house??:rotfl:

My children have asked why mom has fruit taped to her water belt. I am not expecting good things to come from this.

Great effort! :thumbsup2 I'm glad you had a fruitful run. (oh, I am so sorry for that pun; I couldn't resist  )

Great job on the LR!! And if you decide to take a watermelon on your next run, I would suggest a seedless one as it's not fun to try and run and spit seeds at the same time (and not very polite to hit other runners/walkers/rollerbladers/cyclists with spit out seeds)
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
