D: Ohana

Tuesday (Epcot in the AM, MK in PM for MVMCP)
L: Coral Reef
D: Liberty Tree Tavern (before MVMCP)

Wednesday (DHS in the AM, AK in the PM)
B: Playhouse Disney at H&V

D: Boma or Cape May Cafe (Which one should we do?!?)

We have not done any of your arrival day (Saturday) restaurants.

Sunday -- we love Chef Mickey's and Mama Melrose. We are trying Whispering Canyon Cafe for the first time this year

Monday -- we have never done Donald's breakfast and have not done Ohana since it was Minnie Menehue's--we don't like Stitch

Tuesday -- we've enjoyed Coral Reef; have only done Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch but really liked it

Wednesday -- H&V is one restaurant we refuse to ever go to again; like 50's Prime Time Cafe; we are trying Boma for the first time this year; we were not happy with Cape May Cafe this past year (although we really enjoyed it the first time we tried it)

Thursday -- Never done any of them

Friday -- we are trying Cape May for breakfast this year; have not done Garden Grill since our boys were probably 10 and 8 (they are now 22 and 20!); LOVE Biergarten

Saturday -- Have never done 1900 Park Fare; we love Crystal Palace...but have only done breakfast

Your Friday with 3 buffets scares me, a buffet for breakfast, all you can eat for lunch and a buffet for dinner??? That is food overload but if you can do it go for it!

We wanted to try Le Cellier for lunch since I had heard such great things about it.. but lately I have been reading too many negative things and it scared me off.. My thought with the buffets was to spread them out. Earliest breakfast possible... lunch around 1-2 and late dinner around 8 or so.

Some days we will enjoy 3 spread out TS, other days will be late breakfast and 2 TS dinner/dinner show. I would recommend Boma over Cape May. Not that Cape May isn't good, we just loved the loads of choices and unique options at Boma. We tried Whispering Canyon for the first time last year, and were less than impressed. It was also somewhat out of the way, and took a lot of time (hours) from our next to last day. Other people love it, but us, not so much. Have a great trip!

I would skip the 50's ADR, you won't have enough time to enjoy it and those parks. Also you have a Bfast and Dinner buffet, that's a lot of food. Go to AK for the afternoon then take the Disney bus over to AKL for dinner. It will be a fitting end to a hectic day. If you need lunch consider Pizza Planet CS at DHS.

I have a similar feeling about your Sunday. Even if CM's is at 7am to travel from MK to the WL for lunch, then grab a bus to DHS is a bit of work. Also the Fantasmic ADRs tend to be early, often before 5pm, so not a lot of time to digest a bigger sit down meal like WCC. At MK there are lots of CS choices. We were very pleased with sandwiches, bottled drinks and tremendous desserts at the Main Street bakery in MK. That would be on your way out of the park; an easy, decadent meal.

Not sure if you're going to a park on your arrival day, but I have a suggestion. Beaches and Cream sounds like delicious fun for your early meal, but how about booking one of the signature restaurants for a late dinner? I've certainly suggested dropping a meal here or there so you can definitely find the credits. We did Narcoossee's, probably an 8 or 8:30 seating. We saw both the Electric water parade and Wishes from the deck there; magical. You could also see Wishes from California Grill. Citricos seems to the gem that few know about and some really like Flying Fish if you want seafood. I had the Surf and Turf(scallops instead) at Narcoossee's and loved my meal!

Finally, when you take Disney trans from MK to DHS allow an hour as you'll have to trek out of the park to the Monorail, ride the monorail to the transportation center, wait for your DHS bus, make the ride to DHS, go through security at the park and find Mama Melrose.

We had the H&V Fantasmic package and enjoyed our meal. I just booked the H&V Lunch character meal and am excited to take our 6yo there!

I just noticed the ages of your little ones. Not sure they'll be agreeable for all of those sit down meals and the hopping to get to them.

We had far less time and fewer ADRs to make, but our little one had certain "requests" regarding parks, rides, etc. that we were able to meet. I'm sure your 5yo will have a few "opinions" and the 3yo will likely chime in too. It gets hard to yank them off Cinderella's carousel or not take them on Its a Small World for the 4th time in a row. You can negotiate with the 14yo, but those little ones sometimes just melt you and you cave in.

Thanks SeptBaby!

I had thought about the signature places, but I do not want to worry about a dress code. We usually hit the parks in shorts and tees and do not want to go back to the resort to change our clothes. We bounced back and forth between the basic and deluxe plan, but chose the deluxe because we could try more places. Now I am thinking the basic is the way to go. We did it last year and had enough food, but the deluxe does allow us to try more places.

The dress code isn't so intense. I did wear some casual slacks and a top, Birkenstock type sandals. Our 5yo wore khakis shorts, button down(was going to be a short sleeve polo shirt) and his new white sneakers. We were all fine and comfy at Narcoossee's. They won't seat you with swimwear or tanks, but just about anything else is fine.

Cape May was one of our favorites, but after seeing reviews here and pulling up the current menu, we decided to skip it.

Boma is awesome and as someone else mentioned the AK is a beautiful, peaceful resort and a nice place to end a busy day!

We enjoy Chef Mickey's for dinner. And, always enjoyed Park Fare for dinner. Doing it again this year, but mainly for the Cinderella Characters!

Trying Ohana for the first time also.

We enjoyed our dinner at Hollywood and Vine but are trying Fantasmic at Mama Melrose this year.

I stayed away from Deluxe because besides the extra money times 4 of us, it takes up a lot of time.

I would definitely add on a two credit place or two. Such as, California Grill, Brown Derby or have you thought about Hoop de Doo Review. Even young children love this. Also CRT for breakfast is the best Character breakfast we ever had by far! That is two tickets and then you can do a lighter dinner that night.

Just my two cents!

After much (and I mean excessive) stress :headache: about where to eat.. I think I have them all decided and am trying a lot of new places. :woohoo: We are doing 7 nights on the DxDP and this is what I have come up with:

Sat (Arrival Day)
L: Beaches and Cream - pay cash for this meal, it is a less expensive meal and you'll likely share anyway. You could order the Kitchen Sink for a shared family dessert, that isn't even an option on the DP.
D: Cap N'Jacks

Sunday (MK in the AM, DHS in the PM)
B: Chef Mickeys (early)
L: Whispering Canyon Cafe
D: Mama Melrose (Fantasmic)

Monday (AK in the AM, MK in the PM)
Maybe try for dinner at Chef Mickey's this day, its close to MK.
B: Donalds Safari Breakfast (Late)
D: Ohana

Tuesday (Epcot in the AM, MK in PM for MVMCP)
L: Coral Reef
D: Liberty Tree Tavern (before MVMCP)

Wednesday (DHS in the AM, AK in the PM)
B: Playhouse Disney at H&V
L: 50's Prime Time Cafe
D: Boma or Cape May Cafe (Which one should we do?!?)

Thursday (MK in the AM, Free Afternoon)
B: CRT
D: Hoop De Doo Revue

Pick the one that suits your family the best. CRT while you at MK would truly leave the evening "free" for an easy resort or DTD CS dinner.

Friday (AK in the AM, Epcot in the PM)
B: Cape May Cafe
L: Garden Grill
D: Biergarten

Saturday (MK in the AM, Departing in the PM)
B: 1900 Park Fare
L: Crystal Palace

Okay.. that's it.. How does it sound? Any suggestions? :confused3

If you decide to go back to the Basic plan my suggestions of the meals to keep are in Bold above. Spread them out to maybe one daily, but definitely you have some good ones there.

Thanks for all the responses, but now I am even more torn. :headache: I feel like there are too many TS we want to try to do the DDP, but I am afraid the DxDP will be too much- running around, food, structure. And if we pay OOP for the extras above the DDP, we might as well just do the DxDP. But I hate to waste the food and $$$ if it is going to be too much. HELP!!!!:scared1:

I will cost you $812 to upgrade to Deluxe. If those extras will cost you close to that, then upgrading makes financial sense. Just keep in mind the time and commuting required to eat those meals. If it'll work for your family, go for it.

I think I've decided against the Deluxe plan for our 4 night trip. It would only cost me $168 more, but I don't think we'll need the extra meals. I've booked a character ADR for each of our full days there and I think those with CS meals and shared snacks will end up working for us. It's just me and my 6yo nephew this time. If it were me and my Mom, Deluxe is probably a no brainer.
