Sorry! I am the late one who missed the mail by date. I have been getting home so late from school and meetings that I haven't even had time to DIS!!!

Anyway, my package is going out Monday...I missed the Post Office on Saturday do to a family visit.

And I received mine on Thursday (I think it was Thursday ). Thank you! I will post late tonight what I received. I'm off to two church services, a district church event, dinner at my dad's and a chorale rehearsal before I get back on the computer tonight... in between reading research, writing a paper and writing checks...

Yup!

MIne was just shipped to the SW today!

Since I am the only one (or one of very few) that plays in the SW, I figured this one was headed my way. It was!!!

Chuck (who knew he had a real name ), our very own Papa Deuce, sent me an awesome collection of peppers and spices.

I got:

Cookshack's Spicy Barbecue Sauce Mix (will get put to use over Memorial Day Weekend for sure!)
HomeBBQ.com's BBQ Beef Rub and Grill which smells divine. DH better finish that built in grill soon!
Jalapeno/cliantro dip mix (2 of my favorite flavors!!)
And assorted dried peppers with explanations and warnings written on the bags:
New Mexico chiles which are medium heat
Chipolte peppers which are smoked jalpenos
Habanero peppers which came with the warning SUPER HOT!!!

Fortunately, thanks to DH's gardening skills, I am well versed at working with peppers. I have a box of rubber gloves in the kitchen just for pepper work! In fact in about 3 months, I'll be canning peppers and making pepper jellies. The habanero jellies are awesome (if I do say so myself)!

And I also had a recipe for Posole, a traditional Mexican dish (thick soup) with handwritten notations where Chuck has made adjustments to the recipe. I can't wait to try this. We love soups and stews in this family.
