HELP! We adopted a kitten in October who is now 6 months old... we had 2 "senior" cats when we first got her, but sadly one succumbed to lymphoma in late October (we were shocked because it was a complete surprise-no warning symptoms until the day before she passed away
) So, now we have one senior cat (almost 9) and a 6 month old kitten. The older cat obviously likes the kitten Science Diet food much more than her Senior Science Diet food and as much as I've tried to separate the food, she always finds the kitten food... she has been packing on the pounds as of late and I have no idea what to do?!?!!? I know our vet is a staunch advocate of keeping the kitten on the kitten food until at least 9 months. I'm just worried about my older cat as she had a cancerous tumor removed over the summer (Feline Vaccine accelerated sarcoma) and I don't want her to have any further medical problems..... for those of you who have gone this route, what do you do to make sure each cat is eating their own specific food????
