The Food and Wine Festival was something we were really looking forward to on our recent trip. My family of four sampled many items. We were there on Tues Oct 25, and Thurs Oct 27, and didn't really experience any crowds at the actual booths. Here's what we tried, and a rating.
0= never again
1= ok
2= great, would have it again
Brazil- seared Mahi Mahi (2)
Mexico- crispy shrimp taco (2)
China- black pepper shrimp with sichuan noodles (1)
bbq chicken stick (1)
South Korea- Boolgogi BQ beef (1)
Cheese- cheese fondue (0)
Germany- apple strudel (1)
Hops and Barley- lobster claw (1)
lobster roll (2)
16th annual festival beer (1)
Singapore- beef rendang (0)
Belgium- steamed mussels (2)
waffle (2)
France- escargot (2)
creme brulee (1)
Canada- cheese soup (2)
Hawaii- pork slider (2)
My sister and I will be there next year, and I will definitley have all the 2's again. There were more items I wish I had tried, but was simply too full! My top three would be the escargot, mussels, and shrimp taco. Will also be sampling more alcohol next time!
