For the most part my ds was fine with the new kids menu.
*We were able to sub in pizza at Pizzasafari at AK. It isn't on the kids menu, but we had no problem getting pizza. The CM said that we just couldn't get the two sides (carrot sticks etc.) that come with the "real" kids meals.
*If there is no kids menu at CS places, you can get what you want. We ate at Caseys and all had the same thing.
*At Epcot we got five adult meals at the Electric Umbrella (there were only 4 adults/1 kid). My Dh did the ordering while I got fast passes, so I am not sure how he managed this.
*Alfredos was the only place that asked for our card first to check that we were on the plan and told us specifically what we could and could not get. Our DS wanted the kids strawberry mouse, but it is not on the kids menu, he was able to get it as long as one person in our party got the chocolate mouse which was allowed
.
*DS 12 was given "kid" sized food for our fantasmic dinner package, we had to explain twice that he is an "Adult". He can eat a lot so this was important for us, besides the fact that we were paying for an adult meal.
*At Tony's our DS 9 was questioned about being 9. The person seating us thought he looked older. I felt like she was trying to accuse us of cheating somehow. She commented on it twice.
My only real complaint is that he could only get the same desert at all the TS meals. He, however, didn't seem to mind
