First of all we had a nice big crowd for church. I had a lily given in honor of me, which completely surprised me! Just love good surprises!:D DS ended up not eating with his fiancee's family and when she found out we were having grilled hot dogs elected to eat here with us. Told me that she had been craving one, but I wonder if something else was going on. So I had four here for my Easter hot dogs!:p I am going over to DD's after while.:) Plus we had a very thought provoking sermon at church today, which really meant a lot. I also do little folks and I had the cutest group of children. I usually do object lessons and one little boy today was much more concerned with the object than the lesson. Children are a delight and you never know what one will say! This little boy was a real cutie! I hope that everyone is having a delightful Easter! {{{HUGS}}} to all!

Sounds like you had such a nice Easter. We are just laying around. 2 little ones were sick last week and now gave it to us. So we arent to peppy. We didnt even go to church we. Now saving up our energy for Connor's 1st birthday party next Sat.

Big crowd in church this morning. 17 deaf people in SS and then more joined us at the worship service. Preacher preached on religion can be a barriewr to a personal relationship with God. So true. The Anthem this morning was "Arise" WOW! it gave me chills to watch the stone roccked back and Christ come out of the tomb (actor of course) A really vivid portrayal.
The little ones were so cute. My friend brought her 3 yo granddaughter and she was dressed so beatifully complete with little white gloves. She was signing away with the grown ups even though she is hearing. Grandma is deaf. All our group's little ones sign, even 18 month Matthew. We have a mix of hearing and deaf among our Deaf ministry members kids abd grandkids but most are hearing.
After church I dropped my friend and her granddaughter at home and then Jim and I went to Applebees for lunch and ran into a bunch from the hearing church group there. Enjoyed visiting with them.
Now we are home and I am DISing before I start studying for finals tmw. Probably have grilled hot dogs later for dinner.

That sounds like a wonderful day there Ellen :) We grilled out today too and I think we ought to do this more often for Easter :) I hope the rest of your day is a good one too!

That does sound like a great Easter....:D

{{{HUGS}}} I'm so glad that you are having a wonderful Easter, my friend :)

Awwww, that sounds like a very nice Easter, Boots! {{{{Hugs}}}} right back at ya! I think Easter is such a joyous, special, love filled holiday! It renews the soul. Thank you for the hugs. :) :)

I am so happy that you have been blessed with a wonderful Easter, Boots. I can't think of a more deserving person than you - you are such a sweetheart and an inspiration to so many of us here at the DIS!!

Talking Hands - I would have loved to have been at your Church to see the tombstone roll back!!!:D

Just got back from MIL's, had a great dinner and 2 Easter Egg Hunts - yes, my gang are teens but they colored eggs and then hunted them, as well as DH's two younger nieces. Can you believe my almost 15 yr. old DS made me rehide his basket this morning?

I am now heading up to my Mom's - my Dad, DH, and DS just headed up to the lake to fish and DD is at her BF's.

What a great day to Praise The Lord!!:Pinkbounc

:D So happy to hear everyone is having a nice holiday! We had a lovely dinner here too and now everyone has left so I am dis-ing when I should be cleaning the kitchen but the dishes will still be there later ;) . I hope everyone continues to have a wonderful day.

It does sound like you are having a wonderful Easter, Ellen. :)

After our worship service at Church this morning our drama team and choir put on a production called "The Trampled Rose" and then Pastor Larry preached for a few minutes. We also had a wonderful turnout which is always a great thing!

:)

Glad you had a great Easter, Ellen.:) Do you have a picture of you and your lily to share with us?:)

What kind of hotdogs did you have? I prefer Oscar Meyer (beef).:)

Actually we did have Oscar Meyer, but it was the fat free kind, because of DH cholesterol. They taste ok "doctored up". No one made a picture, but I don't know how to post pictures. The few times I have a picture, Dan always does it for me.

we raked the yard - 17 bags for recycling tomorrow. I crumb coated at cake for a shower next weekend, it will be a three tier number with leaves and ants crawling up the side. It;s suppose to be like a picnic scene.

I do the baking and cutting and frosting. My daughter does the decorating - we make a good team. It's now done and back in the freezer for the week.

We visited my SIL and my MIL for a few hours. It was nice but we had a quiet meal at home just the 2 of us. My daughter works at a fancy restaurant and she had to work today.

Now I have paperwork to do for my husband so that will keep me busy for the rest of the night.

it was a nice day.

oh, and I finished a quilt this morning :) It will be machine quilted by a fellow quilter who does beautiful work. I can;t master the machine stuff only hand quilting. It's a gift for a fellow disney friend's anniversary. I'll post picture of it when completely done.
