My DS7 said the F word

My 8 year old has learned just about every word possible from a fellow 3rd grader on the playground this year. After lots of talks with my son, the teacher, the playground attendant, etc. I think it is finally better. At the very least, my son has gotten the point that it's not in his best interest to repeat them!

My 6 year old thinks the "f" word is "fat." I think that comes from attending Weight Watchers meetings with mom and being told not to say that word during the meeting.

I never said any bad words when i was little, and now(I'm still little compared to like everyone here...13) I don't say them either. My sister does occasionaly, and people I am around do, and I listen to music sometimes with swears, but I would never dream of saying them!! I think them sometimes when something is really bad...but saying them?! I guess I still am worried my parents would hear me!! LoL!

When I was growing up that WAS the F word!! To this day that is considered a BAD word in my family!! I would be in MAJOR trouble if I said it to my Mom!! :earseek:

I was shocked when I found out it was really not considered a "bad" word to some people. I still have a problem seeing it "unfiltered".... and this is from a NYer!! My Mom cussed like a sailor but if THAT word was mentioned.... YIKES!!!

BTW, my very proper Southern gentleman thinks that the S word is Shuttup, too!
:teeth:

My son did the same thing in first grade. He came home and said - I learned what the F word is and told all the other kids in class! I said what is it? He said you know -- Daddy does it every day. I said spell it please - F-A-R-T. Whew, was I relieved. His teacher thought it was hysterical, told all the teachers in the staff room.

I am going to be 21 and thier for dont live at home with my mom and the kids any more any way....WHen i go and visit i forget to sensor... and i often use the word "crap" my lil brother who is going to be 7 in augest...SAys hey thats a naughty word dont say that mom will ground you

so its not the same thing but its still along the same lines
