I decided to treat my mother (59), my husband, my son (22 months at the time) and myself to Animal Kingdom Lodge. I got the free bounceback offer for free dining and I got the Club Level so that we would have the breakfast. This will be in the middle of September. What great Family tips do you have for me?

TIA

Take a misting fan with you and fill it with ice water each morning. We also had a clip on fan for our son's stroller, but he wouldn't leave it alone. Our September trip was a hot one. You can read our trip report below.

Also there were lots of love bugs flying around. Someone said they were attracted to people wearing white shirts. Not sure about that, but I wasn't wearing white. They were harmless (think lightning bugs), just a slight annoyance.

Also we took an insulated sippy cup every day to the parks. All the restaurants were really nice to give us ice water. We'd fill our son's cup and then my husband and I would drink the remainder.

We stayed at CBR. Used their pack'n'play. There's a picture of it in our trip report.

Also please stop in the toy store in the UK at Epcot. Every little bit pooh, tigger, and euyore stop in for visits with the kids.

Got our son's first hair cut at MK. Long wait though. And for some reason, they made us pay in cash. But we got to video tape it. They gave us a certificate and some clippings of his hair.

We have a picky eater so we got a loaf of bread in the resort gift shop (also milk). We made peanut butter sandwiches and took them plus some applesauces to the restaurants with us. We had a soft little cooler that sat in the basket under the umbrella stroller.

Enjoy your trip!

Make sure you plan a few times each day to just let your little guy run around. I've found that they can only stand in so many lines, sit on so many rides before they need a run around break. The playgrounds scattered around are great for letting little legs burn off some energy.

My DS was 22 months in January when we were down. Our biggest issue with him were the busses. He just would not sit on them, wanted to be climbing all over the place. And if it was a crowded bus he was too heavy to hold standing, too little to stand by himself, and refused to sit on our laps if someone gave us a seat. Nightmare! We rented a car and it was much nicer. He loved the tram rides in from the parking lot, he thought they were trains. We were there in October at when DS was 2 1/2 and had a rental car again. We did use the busses some of the time though and he was much better this time. But at 19 and 22 months he was awful on the busses and just didn't "get" it.
