Wednesday, June 21st was the last day of our trip. Wahh!! But we certainly had a magical last day!
After waking up early to check out of the hotel and leave our suitcases with the concierge, we headed over to the Grand Floridian for our breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Wow, what a beautiful and fun hotel Grand Floridian is! Now I know where I'm dying to stay next time!!
After checking in at 1900 Park Fare, they gave us a pager, so we went shopping at the stores there, which was a lot of fun. They had some great merchandise there! Anyway, then it was time for the breakfast buffet and it was WONDERFUL!! Probably the best breakfast I've ever had! Delicious and fun Mickey waffles, and strawberry soup that I am STILL thinking about and craving! I want some right now!! And the characters were awesome, I love Mary Poppins and Alice!! What made the breakfast all the more special was how they celebrated my birthday: They gave me a beautiful birthday poster signed by Cinderella, Prince Charming, Alice, Mad Hatter and Mary Poppins, and they sang to me and gave me a free birthday cupcake! SO special!! This is absolutely a must-do for us next time!
After Park Fare, we took the Gold Launch boat to MK. We watched Cinderellabration and PhilharMagic again, rode It's A Small World and shopped. We then had lunch at Crystal Palace, which was EXCELLENT!! This was a last-minute decision for us (we made the ADR just the day before), and I am soo glad we did. They had our table all decked out for my birthday: colorful confetti and streamers and everything! Soo special! The food at this buffet was AWESOME, I was in carb-heaven! =) The characters were adorable, too. At the end of our meal, they brought me a birthday card signed by Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet, plus a surprise birthday cake. Another must-do for the next trip!
During our lunch, it started raining, and then by the time we got out, the rain had stopped. But it was right around the time of the Share A Dream Come True parade, so they canceled the parade and did the Rainy Day parade instead. It was basically just the characters coming out in old-fashioned cars and stuff, but at least they have an alternate event planned for when it rains.
So after some final shopping on Main Street, and after saying goodbye to the castle, we left the park for Coronado Springs around 4 PM, and from there took the taxi to MCO. =( Soooo sad and hard to leave paradise, but it was the most AMAZING time of my life, definitely a dream come true, and I am so grateful and blessed to have experienced it! Can't WAIT to go back -- hopefully soon!!!!
