Stupidly I left the trash sitting on the floor yesterday when I left to go to the store.

When I got home there was trash all over my house. YUCK!
Now my doggies have got tummy aches, luckily they seem to be alright. so far.

uh OH, lookslike they thought eating the trash was a good snack. get those pups out in the backyard or you might have a lot of cleaning and disntfecting to do. Hope they get better, BOY, they must of learned their lesson. :)

What is it with dogs and trash?

I can't open my laundry room door (where we keep the trash can, for the obvious reason) without Shiloh pulling something out of it!

Your doggies didn't get a hold of any bones did they?

No bones, but some old potato salad. yuck!

Oh boy, old potato salad with mayo!

I have to keep my garbage up on the counter by the sink or it'd be trashed every day!

How are they doin now?

Herc.

They seem fine right now.:)

When my doggies have an upset tummy, they get a child's dose of Pepto Bismal! :) (Recommended by a vet and I have been doing it for years.)

Over the years (on vet's recommendation for various illnesses) my dogs have had 325 m aspirin, Pepto, Banadryl and Immodium. Does the trick.

Strangely, there isn't much they can do for cats. poor animals just basically have to put up with it.

Great! Thanks! They really seem to be fine now though.

Ugh, my dog LOVES the trash and if I forget to put it up before we leave there will be trash out when we get home. No matter how much he gets in trouble for it, he won't stop. He KNOWS it is bad too because he will be hanging his head when we walk in. *sigh* Barking, Jumping, and getting into the trash have been the only 3 bad habits I haven't been able to break. They are just too self satisfying. McGee isn't the saltiest cracker in the box either, ifyaknowwhatimean ;)

MosMom -- LOL
You mean the hampster is running, but the wheel isn't moving? :jester:
I have one (the youngest) who is too smart, one who is a little on the slow side (with a heart of gold) and an old decrepit dog that just doesn't care anymore about anything but sleeping and eating. And even then it better not take much effort! ;)

LOVES Garbage....even though he gets broiled chicken breast, he STILL gets into the garbage once in awhile, if I leave a bag out. My garbage is inside an old Steel Drum that used to hold Airplane Parts.:o (that way, him and the cat cannot knock it over).:p

The strange thing is, my maxie is about 80 pounds, can knock over the trash can easily, but she never has. She wouldn't have gotten into the trash bag at all.
It's this new little one that got into it, Maxie just helped.

Sugar does tattle on Maxie though when she decides to go visiting.

Our dog once turned over the trash in the middle of the night on Thanksgiving. She ate all the turkey bones from our Thanksgiving bird. We were lucky. The vet said she chewed them up well and nothing was punctured.

She did do white, bone filled poops for a while. It was too gross! I'll never leave bones in my trash again!
