My dog just fell down the back porch steps....

Just went to let her out....it snowed about 5-6 inches today and had some freezing rain...DH snow blowed and shoveled but I guess it was still quite icey!! She fell right down the steps out the back door (thankfully there are only 2). Then, she falls on the driveway (must be all ice too!!!)... I don't think she hurt herself...but maybe she will "feel" it tomorrow.

AND....she likes to go "nutso" sometimes outside...she made it on to the grass and was running around "like an idiot"......sure enough...she comes heading for the drive...and sure enough....she slide across the driveway and fell AGAIN!!! I would have thought she would have remembered!!!

Think I should go out to the garage and get the salt out...I used regular morton salt from the house for the steps and it seemed to work.

She was VERY careful though, climbing the steps to get back in the house.

Awww, poor thing. I'm sorry, I'm laughing at the antics of your doggy. Hopefully she won't be sore tomorrow.

Lisa, your poor dog! I sure hope she doesn't "feel" it in the coming days. If I fell, I would feel it for months!!!

It sure is bad outside, isn't it! I hear we have an advisory for tonight, too. I thought it was suppose to end this evening!!! I want spring!!!!

It was "kinda" funny to watch...I was in my sunroom watching her run on the grass and when I saw her going towards the driveway....I was just screaming to "stop".....like she would listen...and let alone hear me!!


It is really bad here Kitty...I can't see how the kids will make it to school on the sidewalks!

I'm sorry, I'm laughing because it sounds just like our Ruby. Only she manages to fall down the stairs without the ice...she's such a klutz!!! She hasn't grown into her legs yet, so she gets so excited and gets moving so fast, she just trips, sometimes over nothing. She has real problems when its icy out and can't seem to remember to slow down.

I am sorry your dog fell but I am laughing - Our dog BJ does the run around the yard thing too - like he's in a race or something - we call them "Puppy 500's" - because he just runs the same path over and over and over..... and when he is done he just comes to a sudden stop and lays down as to say "I'm done now" It's hysterical to see!
