AGAIN! Second time in a year! Except this time we can't tell if she really got sprayed or if the smell is coming in from outside. It was really strong when we let her in(she has a run in the front yard), but that could've been the smell coming in the door. I immediately hopped in the shower when I smelled it
But after a few minutes I started smelling it in there. Now, my bathroom is at the other end of the house and my dog hadn't left the room since she came in. But there is an open window in my bathroom. So I think that's where it came from. And I smelled it in my mom's room, where there is also an open window. My dog just ran by me and I didn't really get much of a smell off her. It's hard to tell.
I hope the smell Gods will grant us mercy
When this happened last October I went to school thinking I didn't smell, but I caught whiffs of it throughout the day. It was noticeable
But, that time I was walking her and she really got sprayed. Hopefully this time the smell will stay away from me. My mom says it's not as strong as I say it is. I've always had a more sensitive nose, so I might think it's worse. But when the smell hit me tonight I almost puked
Anybody else have "fun" doggy skunk stories?

Good luck!

It's better than last night. I put my nose right on my dog's head and did get a skunk smell from her, but I don't think she really got sprayed. That happened to my cat once. He just rubbed against something a skunk had sprayed. I'm opening all the windows to try and let the smell out.
Sooo, we took her outside, daughter started filling buckets and jugs with warm water (she HATES cold baths) an husband went to the local grocery store for Dawn, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda (thank goodness it was not quite 10, when they close!) while daughter and I sat outside on the driveway with Cupcake between us, who KNEW what was going to happen and was NOT too happy about it. Keeping her from wandering and trying not to breathe skunk-stench was tough!
