My Disney Mix Max...dead??

Gave my daughter a Disney Mix Max for Christmas. I think it's dead. I need to vent. We had never downloaded any songs to it. We did download some pictures when we first got it (and she had a couple movies and mix stick cards that she played). The movies still play and probably the music cards too, but nothing else works. The photos we downloaded, don't appear. The photo area says it's empty. I downloaded music to it (they appear on the computer that they're there, when I plug it in w/ the USB), but they don't show up on the Mix Max...empty. I cannot set the time...it won't set. It's either constantly 1:26am or 533am.

I don't think Best Buy will take it back, since we bought it over 30 days ago. The help site for this wonderful little gadget is off for the weekend (I sent an email though). I'm frustrated beyong belief...at least I'm not yelling anymore

I don't have a professional opinion and I didn't stay and a Holiday Inn Express last night....but I think this little guy is gone. There I vented...anyone have any experiences w/ this thing??

don't take this the wrong way, but I was yelling at people before Christmas...don't ever buy an electronic device with the Disney name branded on it.

Disney calculates your brand devotion and sells it's name out to the lowest bidder. you pay an inflated price for a piece of garbage with Mickey on it.

Do you have a waranty with it? You may not be able to return after 30 days just for the sake of returning, but returning (or exchanging) for not working would be a different thing if it's still under waranty. Either way, I wouldn't get mad or yell about it until you're able to contact Best Buy or the help website after the weekend is over.

Well, I don't think it's dead. Somehow the device filled up w/ songs I can't see, nor get rid of (I've used 442 of a possible 482MB w/ 144 songs??). Great little device... I can manage to somehow work more complicated equipment, but this little Mix-Max is kicking my tail. :confused

Update: Mix Max is working. After spending a good chunk of the night...okay, all of the evening on this thing, I finally just "formated" the thing and erased everything on it that I could not see. It worked!!!. DD will be happy.

Can you tell me if the time is now working? Everything works on DD's mix max except the time and I can't figure it out.

No, the time isn't working. After spending a few hours trying to figure out what was wrong and then fixing it...the time was the least of my worries. I do remember one time after plugging it in to the computer (one time in about 2 dozen times) and Windows Media, a box popped up. It asked me if I wanted to correct the time (or something like that), but it could not because at the time I didn't have any drive space on the Mix-Max to complete that task. I've never seen the box since.....:confused3
