I just know that you guys will love this!

I have a wonderful job at an after-school day care, working with kids in grades 3-5. I have several kids who have gone to Disney World in the past year, and of course I ask them all about their vacations when they get back! In one of the last conversations I had with one little girl, she told me that she did not get to see Turtle Talk with Crush on her last trip! So of course when I got home that day I googled it and found a great video of the show! I downloaded it to my laptop and brought it with me the next day to show the kids. What a response I got from them! I can't even describe how much fun it was to watch the kids and listen to their comments. "Crush is TALKING to that little boy!" "Yeah, he KNEW his name!" "Woah! He can see those people!" "He's talking to those people! I didn't know turtles could talk!" One little girl asked me how they DID that. I told her it was Disney Magic. She continues to watch the video. "Ms. Amanda, is Disney Magic real?" I could honestly answer her "Yes, Disney Magic is very real! Isn't that wonderful??" "But how do you know it is real?" I told her, "I have seen it in person; with my own two eyes! I've been to Disney World and I know that Disney Magic is 100% real!" And that wasn't even a little white lie! I told her the absolute truth! I can't wait to be able to take my own kids to Disney World and watch them experience the Magic! Now I know what all you parents are talking about!

Now I need to find a good video of Tinkerbell flying down from the castle before Wishes... :teeth:

what a sweet story.
it is real! that's why we are going back again in 2 weeks! :cheer2:
these family trips are so important.

So sweet. Thanks for sharing the story. We just got back last week and when we saw Turtle Crush my DS's were asking how Crush knew things and I said the same thing "Disney Magic". :)

I wish DS's 3rd grade teacher would have handled the question better. When DS told a friend in class that Mickey Mouse was real, the teacher asked the class the question and had them show by a raise of hands if who thought Mickey was real. He was upset that most of the kids didn't believe but we had a talk and although of course he is aware that they are costumes he and I both believe that Mickey is real if you only believe and that he lives in your heart. What is the magic all about if you don't believe it? The little guy "gets it." I was pi$$ed that he was made to feel stupid. You did a GREAT job!!!

AMEN! I've got a third grade boy that feels the same way. He just about melted my heart when he said that the best part of WDW is being there as a family.

To the OP - you were a big part of that magic! You sound like someday you will be a great mom. I have always loved kids. The outlook they have on life. When I was young my friends wanted to be chefs, teachers, lawyers, dentists, etc. What i wanted to be was a mom. Joyfully, I am today. We love the magic of Disney.

How could someone employed to teach 9 year olds be incredibly thoughtless?! That's unbelievable, but unfortunately not surprising I guess when we think about the abundance of inconsiderate people roaming the world. Here's to hoping that your DS will always believe in the magic that is Disney :wizard:

That is so cute! DD, 5, saw Tinkerbell during Wishes. She said,"She's real! She's really real!"
DS, 6, saw Jack Sparrow on POTC and is convinced he is real. He said,"His neck must be sore from looking back and forth all day!" :rotfl:

You should also tell them that WDW is a place where the trash cans talk to you and follow you around.
I LOVE watching kids (and adults) react to "PUSH" the trash can in Tomorrowland. Simple, yet so magic.

What a wonderful story !! Thank you for sharing. I believe Disney Magic is 100% real as well.
