My 16 year old daughter just created her own MDE account. She now has the app on her phone. I sent her an invitation and she is now linked to my MDE. I have shared my plans with her and she can see everything.

Our trip is in November. There maybe be a morning or two where we will both be trying for different G+/ILL. Will she now be able to book these for both of us? Can she check and book G+ for the both of us while we tour the parks? Can she place mobile orders? Do I need to enter a credit card to her MDE or will it use my card?

I’ve always controlled this part so I’m hoping she can assist and hoping it’ll run smoothly.

Yes, she will be able to book G+ and ILL$ for you and visa versa.

Yes, she can book G+ and ILL$ for just herself if she is doing something different from you.

To place mobile orders, you need to have either a credit card linked to your personal MDE account or you can use a gift card as payment. If you're using a gift card, it won't be stored in the mobile order app. You will have to enter it each time that a mobile order is placed.

I think if she mobile orders from her MDE, she'll need your credit card information in her account. I don't think it'll charge yours, just because you're linked to see/plan for each other.

Thank you!
For mobile order, she’ll need some form of payment in her MDE. It won’t charge your CC unless you enter it as a payment method in her profile in her MDE. An alternative is to have a gift card number saved in a note in her phone so that she can copy and paste it when ordering.

If you don't want to link your cc to your daughter's MDE account, I would suggest getting her a gift card. You can put whatever amount you want on it and it can be reloaded. You can also keep track of the balance on disneygiftcard.com
Epcot has festival gift cards that are on a wrist band, so they are easy to keep up with. Also, when I was there the beginning of August, I was able to scan the bar code on the gift card for mobile orders rather than having to enter the number manually. Made using it a whole lot easier!

I don’t mind putting my credit card in her MDE. I would prefer her have it in case I have her purchase an ILL. We will be together in the parks so I can do the mobile ordering. She will also have MB charging privileges. I am giving her gift card for souvenirs and any shopping she’d like to do.

I do have another question I just thought of since I was in MDE updating my PIN and again realized she’s not listed under my profile for this. Since her MB is no longer on my account I assume she won’t have charging privileges or a PIN unless she enters a credit card and creates a PIN in her MDE….correct?

This is important for us since at 16 she will run into a store and grab something and I prefer she have charging privileges and a pin. She had charging privileges since 9 so I’m not worried about her going wild and buying out the store lol.

She doesn't need to enter a CC in the MDE mobile app in order to charge back to the room. The CC entered during check in (online or at the front desk) is what's used for room charging. She will probably need to reset her PIN though.

If she wants to place any mobile food orders, she would need to have a CC linked to her MDE app or she can enter a Disney Gift Card during the check out process.

Makes sense! Thank you!!
