Hi, when we go to Disney it is going to be myself with my family (DH, DD who will be turning 5 while we are there, DS 3) my parents, and my two step sons and the one's GF. (21, 19 and 19 they'll be) Do they NEED to sign up for the My Disney experience, or can I manage everyones stuff by myself? I've added everyone, and gave them the option to sign up, but... I am going to be the person making all the plans. I can see my someday daughter-in-law making one, and either my mom or dad, but not everyone. (I don't think my step sons could care less, and my parents share an e-mail address)

Thanks in advance. I have plenty of time everyone says, but I'm a planner. I've already sent out all the Epcot restraunts saying pick which one you DON'T want, later, I'll send the list for you to number 1, 2, 3... haha. Great fun! Maybe I should make one of those pretrip reports for me to track my progress...

You can manage all of them through one account or multiple accounts. The fewer the accounts the easier it will be. I am going in November with four other families and each family has their own account and we are all linked together. It was a little bit of a challenge figuring it all out but I think we are ready. Fingers crossed.

Thank you. I will need to list everyone though correct, maybe just not try to have them all manage their accounts?

So when you link other accounts together can they then be managed by one person or 2? Im also going with my sister and her family, mom and dad, and myself and my 2 kids. Also do you know if they need to be set up and in MDE and linked together in order to make Reservations? I have to start making reservations next weekend. HELP Thanks in advandce

I disagree with managing everyone being hard with linked accounts... My daughter made her own account because it became a pain for her to use the app without her own login. Linked accounts you can manage the ADRs, Fastpass+, add plan notes, see everyones photopass photos just lke they were in your account. If you buy party tickets, you see everyone to link their tickets to them. There is really very little you can't do for them in the planning..

Where it's superior to having everyone on your mde is they can get into the app and make adjustments also. If they are running late one morning, they can shift their own fastpasses or look for new ones.. If they aren't with you all the time they can use the app normally, do their fastpasses, change where they are eating (or pick a place).

Also it allows them, even if in the same room to have their own pin number and credit card for their part of the traveling group so it's automatically going to different cards if they added a card and pin to mde..

I would strongly recommend not having everyone on the same mde account and go with linked accounts by families or teens or whatever makes sense..

That is great. I plan on having my oldest step son and his girlfriend but their own souvenirs.

Has anyone had any experience with Memory Maker and linked accounts? We were at WDW for a family vacation (8 of us total) last week. We were under the impression that if you purchased Memory Maker all parties linked could see the pics on MDE.
We had some that did not show on our's but did show on my sister-in-law's MDE (and it was actually my husband that used his magic band with the photopass photographer). Also, when we look at the pics, they still have the big photopass watermark across them.

this can be a couple things..

1: if your in the app, try pulling down the main page to cause it to refresh. I've seen some images missing then you refresh and they come up.. chances are you'll find them on the website and not the app though.. not uncommon.
2: sometimes it has to do with where you were when you took the photo and on the website, you can look at park by park and they will show in there... it's annoying...
3: you can disable others from seeing your photos, he might have set it up so you just can't see his photos and he needs to fix that setting.

Instructions to fix #3: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/memory-maker/sharing-settings/ remember he has to fix it, your account won't make his account photos show up..

and last, does he see his photos? any of them? the system does have glitches and sometimes you need to fill out some missing photo form to get them back..

edit: 1 more thing.. when were they taken? are they over 45 days ago, pictures disapear automatically in 45 days unless your an AP passholder with a pass that has free photopass.

edit: ok 2 more things.. did he ever except everyones invitations to link accounts and it's actually linked? did it work for fastpass and other planning when you were on the trip?
