Hi.

I have a split stay coming up this Fall. I just added the first resort stay to the My Disney Experience app but I can't figure out how to add the second resort reservation. What am I missing? Please help if you can. Thanks,
Dee

If you go on the website, there is a place to manually link resort reservations - you will need the confirmation number.

I've never had to add a resort stay to MDE, except for Swan/Dolphin stays. Is it a Swan/Dolphin stay?
When you booked did you use your MDE email address?
If so, it should be automatically connected.

I've always used my computer to do this. Login to MDE and go to "My Plans". From there you can select "Resort Hotel" and "Link a Reservation". You will need to input your confirmation number and the last name on the reservation.

To link using the MDE mobile app, select the menu icon (3 bars) and select "Link to Account" (will need to scroll to find it). In the most recent release of the app, you will need to select "Type ID" at the top of the screen.

Curious, how exactly do you even book a Disney resort without using your Disney account in the first place?

A warning about how the system works. I stayed with a group earlier this year, and I had units at three different properties, all of them with me as the primary occupant. The reason for this was that two of the units were occupied upon arrival. A few days in, two of us boarded the Starcruiser. While I was there, the room I started in emptied out, and after the cruise, I finished the vacation in the other room. Since I was paying for all of the rooms, and since I was, at one point or another, staying in all of the rooms, I put myself as an occupant of all of the rooms.

That's when the trouble started. Upon check in, I could use my phone to open the room at the Wilderness Lodge, but my MagicBand didn't work on the door. And it was all because their system couldn't figure out which room to give me access to, and just refused to give me access to both. When I tried getting a key card at the front desk, that didn't work either, because it, too, is tied to your Disney account. My only workaround was to get a key card for someone else in the room who wasn't on the other reservation and use it myself.

Bottom line: don't put two reservations in your own name. Accept that you'll see your group's plans when you all grant permission to each other to share plans.

Well, you can put your name down but yeah, you can only have you Band, phone, etc access one room at a time. Never found it a big deal since as you found there are several work arounds for it

I do this all the time when I bring my girls with us because I’m paying. But if I’m needing in their room I just use one of their old bands.

Thank you. I originally made the reservations on my laptop. I just updated MDE on my phone and ipad and had to link the two reservations. That's for helping :)

In MDE, Under My Plans , Go to resort hotel and click Link Reservation. Once there you can add in your reservation with the confirmation number and last name.
