I am thinking about buying the Canon A630 and wanted to know if anyone had any experience or information about it. I have a little bit of photography experience but none with a digital camera so I am not looking for anything to fancy to start with. Any information would be great!

Thanks

Standard questions.

What are you shooting?
What types of situations do you shoot in ie low light?
What is more important, size or features?
Budget range?

Looking to shoot mostly everyday stuff. Not a lot of action photography, family photos, ie birthday parites, family vacations, have small nieces and nephews who "pose" a lot for pictures, probably would not be taking a whole lot of action shots. I have a trip to WDW coming up in September and firework (always a must) shots would be nice. Also, something easy to carry around in a purse or a bag. Budget about $200 and looking for entry level camera, point and shoot. I have taken a couple of photography classes but only 35mm camera were allowed so I have no experience with digital photography at all so I am looking for something I can learn on and then maybe upgrade in a couple of years.

I don't have that camera, my son uses the A530, it has been a nice camera for him. From what you say you currently need, it will probably do just fine for you.

Fuji has a model f-31 that you might want to take a look at as well, it is 25 or so over your budget, but it is supposed to have better low light performace. However it also takes a slightly more expensive type of media card as well.
