Today was the last day of school and when I went to pick up Karissa her teachers were crying so hard when they let her go. ( I was the last one there) They made me promise we would let them see her during the summer. :)

Karissa cried and cried too! :(

I cant tell you how glad I am to have found that school! They have done so much for us and no matter what I did for them it just wouldnt seem like enough!

Wow what a day.

oh how sweet, when I finished my student teaching at the beginning of May I was happy to leave the morning class, but I almost cried when leaving the afternoon class, especially after they gave me the bag that the teachers had helped them decorate (they are 3-5 year olds)

I've got to say my goodbyes to my pre-school children (age 3 to 5) on June 26th when the leave me for primary school:( :( :( I hate these days. Last year I was holding it together really well until Alanna started to cry and set me off. You try not too but you just can't help getting really attached to the children.

I did not cry on my last day with the kids. Granted, I will miss most of them, but the stress has been incredible. The last day of school was a relief.

Today, though, was our last day of post-planning, our real last day, and the tears did well up a little...I am not coming back to this school next year, and Iwill miss it. Took one last glimpse at my empty classroom, and out came the waterworks!

Awww.. that is so sweet. The end of a school year brings out so many emotions. I know it does in me. Each year is such a milestone.:D

DS's preschool teacher fought the tears when we said goodbye! He had given her a heart necklace that he picked out himself and she told him she'll always keep his heart close to hers. Since we are moving we probably won't see her again. It wasn't easy....

Today was DD's last FULL day of Kindergarten... I got all teary as did her teacher... Thursday will not be fun... DD has already cried thinking about it... :( Sometimes I wish I wasn't so emotional... Heck, I teared up at this thread... The Tag Fairy nailed me correctly, eh?

We teachers get quite attached to our kiddos. I'm going to BAWL the last day of school this year, because I'm moving and won't be at the same school next year. I've been working with some of my students for 4 1/2 years! They are like my "own" children I know them so well. They are CRUSHED that I'm leaving, and I already cry just thinking about it!

I was singing and dancing as my junior high students left for the summer. All the teachers at my school always get together and sing Happy Trails as the buses pull away. :teeth:

The difference between preschool and jr high.........:)

The difference between preschool and jr high

LOL!
:teeth: Actually, there really isn't much of a difference between the behavior of the two groups. My junior high students act like preschoolers A LOT! I still hear, "he hit me, she took my pencil, he touched me, she looked at me," etc.

Man, I'm really going to enjoy the next two (no longer 3) months of summer vacation!!!
