What kind does she want? An upright? A baby grand? An electric? You could get her a nice electric piano, with all the sound effects, pretty reasonably. Does she want to take lessons? Then rent first; if she sticks with it then buy.
jips, I think I'm going to get her an electric one. (My cousin has one that she hasn't used in a year. So I think I'm going to get it from her. She still has the box and best of all, it the one DD actually wants.) Of course I'm gonna have to get her lessons, too. Could someone send me a case of Tylenol?
There's nothing like the gift of music. One year my grandfather bought me a piano, he didn't say anything, it just showed up on our doorstep (of course it was the snowiest day of the year and we had lots of steps ). I still have the piano and the warm memories and the love of music. I always smile and think of my grandfather whenever I play it.
Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!! It's DonnaS!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, it's so nice to see you! How have you been? Are you back for good!? Hi!
To answer your question, sure I'm sure there's lots of free sheet music out there. I've never looked before, but here's one that I just found for you: http://home.swipnet.se/capotasto/ (You can click the link on the right specifically for piano/easy piano also).
