On our last trip my just 4 year old peed the bed at Disney. I called housekeeping and they brought us new sheets at 3 A.M. and said they would be up in the morning to assess the situation. The maid wanted to flip the mattress, the man from building services said no, they would bring a new mattress in about an hour. My dd had been potty trained for two years without an accident. I never thought about pull-ups for night time. Anyways it happened on our first night at POR. The best part was when they brought up the new mattress it was brand spanking new and it was the same exact make we had at home. I slept so well the rest of the trip. So being honest pays off. We are leaving in a month again and were shopping for the trip today and my dd reminded me to get more Disney undie for the trip.:thumbsup2 Just thought parents might want to know how Disney handle this. We offered to pay but they said that it happens and not to worry about it.

I'm so glad that they were nice about the accident. This has happened to our family when we have been on vacation too. I think the kids are so exhausted that they don't wake up to go. Luckily my kids like to sleep on the blankets and none of the wet got onto the mattress, so I just laundered the blankets. Now I bring some disposable mattress pads and everyone sleeps on one of those.

Way back on our first trip, when the kids were little, they had waterproof mattress pads on the beds, at least at the CBR. That helped when my oldest wet the bed on our last night - I stripped the bed down so mousekeeping could see that the pad was wet, and left an extra big tip for the trouble.

It's nice to know that they change the mattress when it gets wet, at least when mousekeeping knows about it!

We have some mattress covers (they don't fit the mattress, but they cover the area where the child's body lies) and we take both of them with us. My 3 year old rarely has accidents and my 9 year old can still have accidents. (My 7 year old never does!)

So, just another thought for parents reading this thread. It has been a lifesaver for us and saved us a few times.

they look like this:

and are easy to take along.

This happened to us many many moons ago ( my dd is 22 now ) we had a long hard day at the parks and my dd dreamed she was going to bathroom and sure enough she peed all over the bed at CBR...the worse part was calling for sheets at 4 in the morning but I do remember how great they were to us and the housekeeper was telling her how she also had that happen before  so we were embarrassed but all was well ( oh back then they had plastic protecters on the bed, so the bed was fine ). It's funny how I still remember that one night after about 12 years  .

How great!!!!! It's good to know this just in case! You never know, with children who have had this much excitement and are exhausted it tends to happen! I'm glad they didn't give you hassle about it and were so nice!

We did the same thing. I felt so bad!

Makes me wonder why Disney doesn't keep the mattress protectors on the beds anymore? I'm sure it can get costly, but it's got to be less costly then replacing a mattress!

We always had good experiences with the housekeeping at Disney wrt our son wetting the bed or having a nosebleed. Once, they noticed we had put plastic trash bags on the bed, and provided us with a vinyl cover, which was much nicer. When he had the nosebleed, I called to let them know he had bled all over two pillows, expecting that we would have to pay for the damage. We didn't, and I assured them that we would be OK continuing to use the pillows, since I had removed the blood myself (we were staying at Saratoga Springs, and had a washer and drying in our room).

Wow, I haven't even thought about this?! My daughter can pee enough for 3 children. I think I will ask about a vinyl cover before we even got there!!! THANKS!!!
