My dd was just in an accident.

She won't let me come to her. She says she's ok, but she was T-boned and they took off. They had no license plate either. She's had her insurance 4 days.

She was hit in the drivers door, glass shattered, but she's ok. She said she somehow didn't get cut at all. The car is almost fine.

But she won't let me come to her.

No, she's waiting on the police and then she's going back to where she's been staying. She insists she's fine. She promised to keep calling me.

She just doesn't want me to see the car. It must be pretty bad. Not that I care about the car, but how close she was to being really hurt.

I sure would like to know who her guardian angel is. Or are, she's had so many close calls it's scary.

Oh Serena, I am SOOO sorry. I know that you are worried but at least she is ok. I know that's hard to focus on right now but it could have been worse. My thoughts are with you. I always say the toughest thing about being a parent is not being able to protect them from life as they grow older.

So sorry to hear you DD was in a wreck. Sure glad she is ok. I dont blame you for wanting to go with her. That would be what I would want to do also. Nothing like holding your "babies" when something is going on bad. Is she very far from you???

Is it bad weather, rainy, etc. If not, I dont know if that I would not go even if she says she does not want you to. Once she sees you she will probably melt in your arms. JMOP

I would still go to her and be there to comfort her. I think she just doesn't want you to see the condition of the car and make you even more worried. Glad she is ok.

What's the situation this morning? HOw is you dd? Still okay I hope. So sorry to hear she had an accident. We all dread that phone call. I know that when I got the 'call' from me dd, then 15, I really freaked out. THen I realized that she must be fine since she was able to call me. Dopey Mom!!

Ok, here's an update.
She is ok. She was already sore, so I told her to call me this morning and I may take her to the hospital today.

They are pretty sure she was hit by a drunk driver. The lady was swerving as she drove down the road, witnesses say. Bri stopped at a stop sign and saw no one. She went ahead and was halfway across the road when she was hit.
They said it looked like the lady tried to swerve to avoid her, but instead of going right, she went left and hit Bri's door, straight on.
Thank heavens for big, heavy, old cars.
The woman drove away, with no license plates at all.

The car, well, she drove it back to the house, but it isn't drivable. The window was shattered, the door is mangled and the dashboard is pretty mangled too. The steering column was ok, as for the other important parts of the car. She drove home sitting on the Indiana Atlas I gave her.

I keep telling myself that she's alright.

Im just guessing, that she might not be the inncoent party in the wreck, or of course everyone was 'high". But she might be telling the truth, I jus allways think the worse. Her health is the most important thing though.

No, you just know that she isn't as innocent as she first claims to be sometimes.
Luckily, she doesn't get "high", it was never worth the money or risk for her. And she was the only one in the car.

If there's more to find out, I will eventually.

I do know she was upset with a couple people, and she may not have been paying attention like she should have. I don't know. We'll see.
