I am SO excited about my upcoming DCL cruise in October, I decided to FINALLY dig out our 2002 DCL cruise tapes and put together a video to get us and our friends (who are joining us on their first ever cruise) very excited about going!

So....I uploaded it to my site if you want to take a peek. You will need Windows Media Player to watch it and about 7 minutes of free time to kick back, relax and get your DCL fix!

I hope it works and there are no bandwidth problems!

Here's the link:

Thank you so much for posting the wonderful video. I watched it with both of my children on my lap and they loved it as well.

What wonderful memories.

What a great "treat" to see our pal Sasha in animators! We also went to Maho Beach in March, and had fun watching all the planes landing right next to us! You must be so excited about your next cruise: have a fabulous time!Nat :flower:

ok, what kind of video camera did you use?
The camera was an old Sony Handycam Hi8 that we bought in 1998. It was having problems on our cruise and we didn't get great video as you can probably tell during some parts of the video! We're buying a digital one before October, that's for sure!

Isn't he a great waiter?? Part of the reason we loved our cruise was because of him and Attila every night, what a blast! I hope we get great waiters again this cruise! We cruised with RCCL in 2003 and we didn't even understand our waiters, their english was so bad! Makes it hard to enjoy dinner :guilty:

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments, I am glad you enjoyed it as much as I did :goodvibes

I always love looking at your site pictures and trip reports, and now I love looking at your video. It definitely gets me excited for our first cruise ever, and I was smiling through the whole thing. I can't wait to see your pics and report from your October cruise because we will only have a few more weeks to go before we then go in November! Thanks for sharing it!

Boy, that really made me glad that i decided to book a disney cruise for when i graduate. I showed it to my brother and he wants to go on a cruise now!!! Ha Ha!!

I just showed my kids the recording and they loved it and say thanks. I was wondering what the box gift thing was is it something you ordered through disney? Also my DH was wondering where it was that the planes were flying in so low? Thanks :sunny:

The box thing I was opening was a gift from Dreams Unlimited (the travel agency we booked the cruise through). From what I understand, if they have so many people booked on a certain cruise they sometimes get these for their clients. It was a nice unexpected surprise! I believe you can also order them through DCL (Castaway Crate?) Inside there were a few pop cans, summer sausage, crackers & cheese, a large Toblerone, Mickey suckers and gummy bears, the best pretzels I have ever tasted in my life & a bottle of wine .
The box was collapsable so I took it home and now I store some scrapbook supplies in it :)

The planes landing near the beach was in St Maarten at a place called Maho Bay. There was supposed to be a 747 landing but it ended up being late that day and we never got to see it but we really enjoyed seeing all the other planes

Thanks for sharing the video, DW and I have watched it 4 times now. Can you let me know what the song titles and who the artists are?

:cool1:

Can you let me know what the song titles and who the artists are?

Sure!

First one is called "Where is the Love" by The Black Eyed Peas and the second one is called "I got It" by Kevin Lyttle, my new favourite artist!!!

Thanks for sharing your video. I loved it!

Watching the videos and looking at pictures on here make me realize how bad I am at doing both. I hope to improve though. I do have a nice scrapbook I made of our 2003 cruise. I am suppose to be doing my 2004 book and WDW 2005 book this summer. Howver once we got home from WDW my camera's memory card tore up so I only have one days worth of pictures. I have never in 15 years of marriage put anything in books besides the 2003 scrapbook. Our videos are not good either!

Thanks so much, Cass, for your hard work. My hubby and I will be taking our first Disney cruise Jan. 21, 2006 and I am sooooooo excited. Your vidwo is AWESOME!!!!
