Ok so while getting ready today I was brushing my teeth and my filling feel out! Oh no I said! The receptionist at the dentist is a real - well i can't use the word because this is a family board!!!!!-
So I call. NOTHING available. No kidding! I tell her it's my root canal tooth that when I had it done they said i would not need a post and crown because it was not that bad. What I needed was a permanent filling. So my fault I have not done that. Life gets crazy and busy and I've put it off. Ok. But now I need it to be filling right away because it's going to snap off. and it's 2 from the front. Ok still nothing. The dentist works on tues and thurs only. And so what am i going to do you ask????? Well I decided that I needed to call around. I found a place that will see me today! oh good. that's good news i thought. WRONG!!!!! I thought i'd go in they would take xrays and fill it up and i'd be good to go. WRONG!!!! they said that i have a cavity in the tooth that's been eating away at the bone and down to the root canal!!!OH NO! what's this mean you ask??? that a) i might need to have a new root canal and b) it will cost me a small fortune. Today they ground it down to nothing got out all the cavity junk and put a temporary post and crown on there. just for now. then next week i have to go back and they will have a specialist come in and cut my gums away and grind down the bone so they can fit the real fake tooth on. that's IF i don't need the new root canal. if i do, then that 1st and the gum surgery next! OMG! and i have 2 dental insurances, so i maxed mine out today and most of dh's. so great. now i'll have to pay for everything else out of pocket. It's been a heck of a day. Last friday I was living the life in New York City having a blast with my boys and this week i down in the dumps with a sore mouth. Go figure!
Just thought a rant and rave about my lousy day. If you gotten this far, thanks for staying with me.!!!!!
