I am sure the odds are slim to none that someone from here found her phone and turned it in, but at least this way I can throw the "thank you" out there to the universe!
We were at the MK on Friday evening, and after the MSEP at 11PM, we decided to go to BTMRR. DH and I made a quick pit stop at the bathrooms next to the saloon while DD sat on the wall of a flower bed and waited for us. We all went up to BTMRR, and just as we started to go down the ramp to load, she realized she had lost her phone. I didn't want to call it in case it would alert someone to the phone, so she went back to the spot to see if it was still there. It wasn't there, so then I started to get aggravated with her. DH and she wanted to continue on with the night and have a good time and we'd check Lost & Found as we left. Well, I told them I would rather check now, so I told them to go on. We all decided to go to L&F together, so we trekked up to City Hall. In the meantime, I called the phone a few times, and it would just ring and ring. Then all of a sudden it went to just voice mail, so someone turned it off. My heart sank. We got to City Hall/Guest Services and DH and we let 18YO DD go in and handle it. At this point I'm thinking of how long it would take for me to contact Verizon and have it turned off, how we were going to replace it, etc. Well, the good news is that just as the Disney CM said, someone from Disney would run the phone straight to L&F if it was found - and they did!! Our night was saved by some wonderful guest and/or CM that turned in her BlackBerry Storm!
I know we read about the lost phones, lost cameras or other lost items that never turn up, so I wanted to share a story about how something good happened!
