My daughter's band is marching down main street!

I can't wait! It will be a trip of a life time for these kids! And even better I'm going too! They will lead off the 7 PM parade!

When is your trip? DS is going in March and they will lead off the 9pm parade at the MK! I can't wait.....

oh, you're going to have so much fun!! Our band went to WDW twice while my boys were in band, and there is nothing like seeing your own child marching down Main Street!! I had tears in my eyes!

And it's great for the kids, too - there's usually something "special" that WDW p;lans for the kids. I know one year the girls in color guard had some dance lessons with some Disney dancers, while the instrumentalists spent some time learning (and actually playing) how they put the musical scores to movies.

That's awesome! My high school band marched in the Magic Kingdom twice- my freshman and senior years. I'll always remember it!

Hi! Wow Dan I haven't seen you on here in ages! Not that I am on like I use to be! But I do pop in here and there!
They are marching March 5th! 7 PM!
I am already trying to think of the best place to stand for photos! Thinking maybe by frontier land where they just enter so hopefully the castle will be in the back ground! We are very excited!

What time I spend here now is pretty much on the theme park board, Sondra, but I do stop by this board and scan a few days a week. I think there are a lot of folks not around much anymore.

I would love to see her march, but I won't be there then, heading down in about a month for a week or so. Take those pictures. And yes, I would say Frontierland would give you some nice shots, always less crowded. And generally not too crowded when the kids march, I think about 10 minutes or so before the afternoon Disney parade. Enjoy, good 'seeing' you again.

My daughters marching band marched down Main Street on her 18th birthday!!! How cool was that? I staked out my spot to watch her 1.5 hours ahead of time just to be sure I was in front. I made sure to check with her to see which side of the street she'd be on. Enjoy, it really is a great experience.

I should add - she didn't want to see us for much of the trip, she was too busy with her friends. I did treat her and 10 of her friends for ice cream that day at the Main Street Bakery, there was an actor there that was the Mayor, and he sang Happy Birthday to her. He changed the lyrics, I can't remember to what but it was really funny.
