My daughter can't use my PIN...

I posted this under a different thread to announce that I received a pin and was very psyched but now have a problem using it. I thought PINs could be used by anyone in your household. My daughter is a college student and would be going without me. I'm signed up on disneyworld.com with 2 accounts; 1 for me and 1 for my daughter using 2 different emails. I actually received an email on both accounts but both had my name on the offer. So, can't figure out how if I login on the disneyworld site using the email that is on my daughter's account, why my name shows up on the pin email. Her name shows up on the welcome screen for the account. Very disappointed..... My TA says we can't use the Pin. Is this really so? Anyone have any ideas on the my name being on both pin emails? I've emailed guest services but have not heard back yet.
 
I asked this question on another thread. My mom and I are thinking about doing a trip in the fall and would LOVE to have a PIN. Well as it turns out my dad gets them all the time. I asked on another thread if my mom and I could still use it even though my dad probably won't be coming. I was told that it can be used by anyone living at the address the PIN was delivered too. Also my dad got his via snail mail. I'm not sure if that makes a difference though.:confused3
 
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did see your post and that answer and thougth I'd ask it again because of the fact that the email address that one of them came to actually is the one assigned to my daughter's account, but the PIN is in my name. Don't know where I need to make the correction. I updated profiles on disneyworld.com. Is there someplace that I've overlooked?
 
hmmm I really don't know. :confused3 I would just call Disney (407) 939-7796 and ask them if your daughter can use it.
 

My understanding is that the guest whose name is on the pin has to be traveling with you, even if you are part of their household.

Of course, things may have changed since the last time I asked about it.

I have the same problem and cannot get it fixed. I got the Cindy pin again this week to my email, but my sister's name and address. I go to WDW 4x a year, my sister went with me once 4 years ago (I paid), and she continues to get the pins.....I even tried an alternative email, and I have yet to get a PIN to my alternative email. Disney doesn't know how to fix the system.
 
Well, I worried for nothing. I just booked my daughter using my pin directly with Disney. The rep said it can be used by a member of your household! NO idea why my TA said it can't be done.... She's a Disney specialist so that's a bit disconcerting but it worked out!
 
A CM this week told me that if my friend got one and was coming at the same time that my friend could use it for my room, too! Seems anyone in the household should be able to use it if that is the deal!

I'm going to Disney in May with 2 friends. I never gets pins. I made a reservation but didn't yet put my 2 friends on the reservation in hopes that maybe one of them would get a pin. One of my friend's DH got a pin in the mail today. We are hoping they would let her use it. We'll call on Monday.
