My dh's aunt and uncle sent us 20-30 daffodil bulbs last fall as a housewarming gift. I even posted here to see if it was too late to plant them. Anyway, I got impatient that they weren't up yet so I dug around a little yesterday and only found ONE bulb! :sad2: I think something must have tunneled in and eaten them, or else I dreamt the whole planting!

Oh no:( that's too bad. After all that work and worry.
Sounds like you'll be needing critter ridder. Even our deer and groundhogs don't eat the daffies though. I wonder what it was :confused3

I lost a lot over the winter too. I think the squirrels dug them up. Annmarie

Hungry squirels are the most likely culprit. Daffodils are usually not as tasty to them as Tulips, but they love those tender bulbs if there isn't anything else around for them to eat. Since you live in a new house, maybe they can't find anything tastier.
