My daffodils are blooming!

I went outside to get the paper and was greeted by daffodil blooms. Hurray!

I planted the bulbs last fall. It was the first time I ever tried planting bulbs.

The plant stalks have been up for weeks, the flower buds at least since Sunday, and this morning, flowers! Big, bright, beautiful flowers!

It doesn't take much to thrill me.

Mine have been open for a few days!!! It is a WONDERFUL sight!!

Hi, Tony. It's wonderful to see you, too.

You know, I was worried that the daffodils weren't going to bloom. Everyone else's around here seemed to bloom last week. Gardening is far from being my forte, so I was beginning to think I messed up the bulbs somehow.

But then, this morning, there the flowers were. Maybe I bought a late blooming variety? The flowers are very big.

Oh congrats! they are such beautiful flowers!

DH and I just moved into our new house last November...we don't have GRASS yet alone flowers yet! I can't wait to start doing some landscaping! I love seeing a lush green yard with bright splashes of color! (My favorites are tulips and daffodils!)
