My dad's birthday

Yesterday would have been my dad's 83rd birthday. We lost him in August due a broken leg and other complications. I honestly do not know how in the world, I made it through without turning into a blubbering mess. Even thought it has been almost eight months, I still miss him.

I understand what you are going through. My dad passed away over 3 years ago. I still think of him and miss him every day. The difference is now I think of him and smile instead of thinking of him and falling apart. He used to love it when I was planning a Disney trip and like to hear all the details. It does get easier, I promise.

It must have been a very trying day indeed. Amazing how we do get through, and I believe it is with the help of those we have lost that we do.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom 23 years ago when I was 19. Time does help, but on her birthday I always miss her more.
