I have been looking at the Disney Magic sailing on October 14th, 2015. There had been plenty of cabins available and now the whole cruise is gone from the website. I tried to e-mail the Disney help folks and they have not responded. Just curious what happened? Did a huge group come in an get a ton of cabins or did they cancel the sailing? It fits in our Fall Break perfectly and we have never been to Miami. Any thoughts?

The 5-night western Caribbean cruises before and after that one are still listed, so I assume the October 14 Bahamian either sold out or got chartered.

Sometimes they will temporarily remove a cruise from availability. Either there are inventory issues they need to address (maybe a large group did book and they need to see what inventory they can put aside for the group, perhaps planning on refurbishments in one area of the ship so need to "upgrade" people to clear cabins, or they have a lot of guarantee bookings and need to review inventory before allowing more bookings).

Or this is Disney's website, could just be some computer issue that needs to be addressed.

Very unusual for a cruise to be cancelled outright. Could it be that they got a request to charter but those are rare this close in for a sailing. If it were a case of cancellation or full ship charter, DCL would be contacting the booked passengers to tell them their options. These are the least likely explanations though.

Cruisefish.net has it showing all categories sold out except 9B & 9C. There have been multiple price increases with some categories almost doubling in price.

I saw the sailing on Cruisefish.net and it is dithered out. It also says it is only 8% full. At least that is what I think that number is for, IDK. I'm going to try and call the Disney Cruise help number again and see if I can get an answer. Thanks for your thoughts.

From cruisefish.net:
What does the "Categories" percentage mean?
It is only an indication of available cabin categories, not ship occupancy. Only the cruise lines have access to that strategic information. Still it can be an useful indicator of a cruise's success.

Did you try calling Disney? I feel that emailing is not their best, but calling it is always effective for me!

Dithered? It is greyed out but you can still click on the date and the information for the cruise will come up. I have no idea what you are looking at that says 8%, but when you pull up the 10/14/15 Magic cruise it is sold out. Maybe where you see 8% is that only 8% of categories are available. Cruisefish doesn't tell you how full the ship is anyway. It only tells you which categories still have at least 1 room left, along with the pricing.

We are on the cruise right after this one (a 5 day), and it is now grayed out as well with quite a few room categories still showing. All of the 5 day for Oct are showing grayed out. I wonder what is going on with them.
