In the bed above the septic tank...can't wait , they are one of my spring favorites.
This is a picture of them last year.

I still have 2 feet of snow over mine, where are you located in MA?
I am soooooo sick of being cold!

Welcome to the DIS AND the garden board spikesmom. We are delighted you are joining us!

I live on Cape Cod but you'll notice I mentioned the septic tank.

We still have tons of snow....except over the septic tank.;)

I read this little tip a few years back, if you plant spring bulbs over the septic tank they tend to come up a little earlier and I am NOT patient when it comes to spring!

Where are you located?

Amid: Those are so pretty. My neighbor has bunches of purple and white crocus growing and this year I noticed our furry little friends have transplanted a few in my garden. Am I a bad neighbor if I don't give them back?;)

Oh Amid I'd take a bare spot anywhere in the yard right now.

Today is suppose to warm up into the 40's, but were suppose to get rain. :( My feelings are: just more liquid to freeze when the rain is over.

Somewhere under all this ice and snow are crocus. Maybe someday before the fall sets-in I may see a spring flower.

Thanks for sharing a pic of last years crocus's. I'm sitting here enjoying them. Hoping for spring soon.

Oh, that is a beautiful picture!!! You sure fooled me for a second. I thought, "Where did all that snow go so quickly?"

How'd you take that one, were you on the ground? It is really a beautiful picture. Very nice perspective!!!!

Sending warm weather up to melt all that snow for you guys!!! I'm sure in another two weeks it will feel very springy for you!

Now that you mention it, I do see a little ground around the septic tank area! I live in Central Mass in the "snowbelt" on the west side of Rt 495,
I love the picture of your crocus, my snowdrops are usually up this time of year, too much covering them right now though!

TigH, thanks for you warm thoughts ,I think spring will be alittle further down the road here, at this point I am so sick of being cold and having to drive in ice and snow, I feel like it never will warm up. Spring usually lasts about 2 days at the end of May and then we jump into summer!!

Kathy:rolleyes:

Welcome, spikesmom! :)

Great picture Vanessa, such a beautiful purple! I guess things stay a little warmer over the septic tank. ;) :)

Beautiful pic.:)
Mine have been up for about a month..I was worried with it being cold and all and with the snow on top of them, but they appear to be doing fine....I see the daffodils, tulips & Iris's coming up to..:)

Oh wow these are so beautiful!:D
I can't find mine for all the snow! Usually by this time of year all of my bulbs are "peaking"through, but this year I'll have to wait for about 3 foot piles of snow to melt.....hmmmmm maybe by May????;)

Ditto over here. I was starting to get green with envy that you had such pretty flowers already before the brain kicked in. So, now I am just sitting here and admiring them! They are a beautiful site to behold! Thanks for posting those photos.

**Looking for more photos - old, new, don't matter - just colorful and warm. **

I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever see a crocus this year. 10 new inches of snow on top of the already 2 feet of old snow. Will I ever see my yard again.

I have been stenciling a wildflower scene on the door in the den. Although DH thinks I'm nuts, it looks pretty good. I've stenciled a stone walkway with wildflowers growing along the part, am now putting in a few last minute touched. Butterflies, dragonflies, bee's and a few ladybugs.

There may be 3 feet of snow in my yard, but I can sit on my sofa and dream I'm walking down this path. Touching and smelling the sweetness and beauty of nature. I must go move a dragonfly, don't like the position he's in. :)

That would be so pretty!:D

Can we see pictures?:) :sunny:
