I bought the RX crocs because I had what I thought was a bunion. Now I honestly think it might have been a bone out of joint or something because I massaged it and it went back in and I haven't had that pain since. I was looking for shoes to wear to diseny so if my feet got wet in the rain, I didn't have to worry about changing my shoes.

I also bought both boys disney crocs. The finally got my younger DS size of crocs back in stock so I bought a bigger size for him and will be sending his too small ones back. I called shoebuy and they gave me the code to get 20% off plus 10% off like I had origionally.

At first I hated my crocs and they hurt my feet. Now I am used to them, they don't hurt my feet weather I wear socks with them or not. My sneakers are good but still by night time I often feel as though my feet swell so by the end of the day it is a relief to get my shoes off. With my crocs, I don't have that problem.

I am definitely going to take our crocs to disney with us to wear at the pool. I haven't decided if I will wear mine at the parks or not or if I will let my boys wear them at the parks. I also read about the escalator issues. That scares me. We won't be using any escalators that is for sure. It says that they are so non-skid that they tend to "stick" to the escalators a little easier than regular shoes I guess, even though any shoe can get stuck if you are not careful. I know diseny has some moving platform rides and I recall reading online about a kid that got her shoes (not sure if it was a croc) caught somewhere in the tea cup type rides.

I now agree these shoes will be great for the kids this summer at the pool and in the yard but I just don't know about disney. If I don't let them wear them at diseny, they will both definitely need new shoes of some kind to wear there. Right now my youngest son (4yo) wears cowboy boots everywhere. I think the sneakers he has don't even fit it has been so long since he wore them. He won't be wearing cowboy boots at diseny for sure.

For your kids that don't wear crocs at disney, do they wear sandles or sneaker?

In addition to his Mickey croclings, My step son has a pair of Keens, which are a sandal/sneaker hybrid. They are very comfy, okay to get wet, and very supportive. He never had a moments trouble with them while we were at Disney.

We also got him a pair of Timberland athletic sandals. Again, very supportive, water friendly and comfy!!

Crocs actually makes an "athletic" sandal for kids...I think it's the "otter". Very cute and they have spots for Jibbitz!:lmao:

DD who was 7 at the time, wore sneakers and tennis shoes on the days that she didn't wear crocs. However, this was in January, and we didn't go on any of the wet rides. If you are going during the warmer months, I would look into those supportive sandals that can get wet, like the ones that CampbellScot mentioned. I've also heard good things about Teva sandals, too. (Keens and Tevas come in adult sizes, too, but I haven't had any luck with Keens.)

Another thing to think about - if your 4 yo will be in a stroller much of the time, his shoewear isn't as critcal as yours or an older child that walks all of the time.

BTW, I'm happy to hear that the Crocs Rx are giving you relief. I really like mine, and I liked wearing them to Disney - they are great at the airport and for going to the pool. Between those and one other pair of shoes (whether sneakers or athletic sandals), you will be set!
