My crazy mixed up day

So...there DS and I were, outside in the first REALLY cold day in a couple of weeks, waiting for the bus. Well, the bus is late, and I am getting ready to throw DS and the boy across the street in the car and drive them, so I can get to work. Neighbor across the street calls the school to find out what's up? Seems there was a water main break, and all 3 schools in town are closed. Well, then, that certainly puts a kink in my day.

I am very lucky in that I have a very understanding boss. I am 'working' from home (basically responding to email and vmail) and will only have to take 4 hours off instead of a whole day.

So...here I sit, reading emails, calling in for vmail, watching Toy Story, and DISing.

It's been busy, but right now, I'm sitting here munching on some leftover chocolate Christmas candy a coworker has in her goody basket in her office, sipping coffee and waiting for some of my coworkers to leave my office.

Well, DD was up at 5am! Lucky for me DH is off this morning so he got up with her. Now he is at Gander Mountain spending his Gift Card.
DD is running around with her coat and boots on (nothing else) because she wants to go outside and play. The problem is that it is -13 with the wind chill.
I was going to go shopping, but my sister is having something shipped to me this morning so I am sitting here waiting for the FedEx truck.
What an exciting morning!

Well I couldn't find DS's shoes this morning, turns out they were at MIL's. Dh forgot to bring them home I almost just took the day off, luckily I didn't because someone else did and this office is so small that it would have caused a problem. So MIL met me at DS's school with the shoes. Guess I'll be going to Target at lunch to buy DS a few pairs of new shoes. Geesh.

I am here at work. A bit busy today but not to busy that I haven't found time to E-mail Deb I really wish I was going to go out to lunch for something greasy and fried but I am staying here and having turkey salad on salad. Yummie!
