Don't lose heart - it took them a little over a week from when they first called me to send me the first planning emails. I will say though they have been great about answering my questions and responding since then.

The wedding I was in this past Nov was done by Marion Stewart and I did meet her. She seemed very knowledgable and put together. I have heard that she has been with DFTW for a long time as well.

Hi! I have Marion too! Her assistant, Linda, is who you will do most of your corresponding with and she is AWESOME!! She always answers any and every question almost instantly. They've both been REALLY busy for the last month so it's good to hear they got some vacation time I'm going down for my planning session with them next weekend- I can't wait!!!!

Our DD has Marion and she is terriffic! She is a take charge person who will make sure things go according to your dreams. Just remember that they are VERY busy, so it may take some time for Marion or Linda to respond when you have questions. Marion met with us for the planning session and we went through the entire wedding timeline step-by-step. She will help you make decisions for every aspect, and I found it helpful to make a ballpark BEO in my own mind before the session. That way as we made choices we could kind of stay on track - Marion would give the options and we would weigh each out vs. our target budget.

The only surprise was that a few of the choices DD made were incorrect on the BEO when it arrived, and I noticed that they forgot to include the cost of the wedding cake. As other brides here have posted, it pays to go over the BEO very carefully. As a result of all our advance planning and with Marion's help, the total cost was just about what we planned.

I have Marion as well. She seemed very helpful during our planning session, though she did try to discourage us from having a band (anyone else have that problem?)

Her assistant, Linda is just great! She is always there with an answer or to help with any tiny detail you're obsessing about.
All in all, I think they are a good team!
