I joined Connections, as so many other have on this board, before going to WDW last week. I bought 6 Quick & Casual vouchers the same day I signed up for connections. I received the vouchers 3 business days later. We are 2 adults and we used 2 vouchers at Mara at AKL, 1 voucher at Tuskar House at AK, 1 voucher at Beaches & Cream, and 2 vouchers at Pepper Market. The Beaches and Cream worked the best as far as value. They DID let us get the Kitchen Sink. I did not ask, but the server suggested it. We saved a few dollars at Tuskar House and a few more at Mara. The only problem we encountered was at our hotel at Pepper Market. I went there Friday, June 21st at about 5:30PM. I had the vouchers in my hand when I approached the podium and the hostess saw them. She told me that they no longer accepted those vouchers. I told her that they were listed on the back of the voucher. She went to get another associate to help me. The next employee came and agreed that they no longer accepted those vouchers. He showed me a note from management that said, "As of 6/21/02 at 12PM, we no longer accept these vouchers." I told him I felt cheated since they had accepted them prior to noon that very same day. He got another employee, who finally got a manager. I tried to be as nice as possible, while making them see my point of view. The manager did eventually agree to make an exception and accept the vouchers from me, but he said I would not be able to use any others.

Since I know several people from this board are planning on making a special trip to go to the Pepper Market, you may want to call ahead in advance to see if they have changed their position on the Connections vouchers. One of the employees I spoke with that evening said they were no longer accepting the vouchers because they were not being reimbursed. Just thought you would like the info.

I wonder if any of the other places are dropping the certificates? i was planning on using some. Anyone have any other info on this?

I bought Q&C vouchers for my trip in December, and I fear that Beaches and Cream will be pulled from the program because TOO many people use them there. :(

We were there last week, 4 of us, used two vouchers. No one knew how to use them. I asked our server, then went to the cashier and finally just started getting stuff myself. When we left the cashier rang up the two meals 23.00 and said thank you, no bill no total or nothing. If she had added the sides, dessert and the x drink it would have been about 45.00, which would have gotten the server more tip, they automatically add 10 percent to your check for servers i believe. We left a couple of bucks, since we never saw our waitress again.

Very interesting. We used the vouchers a couple days prior to the 21st at Pepper Market. It was such a good deal we had hoped to stop for lunch on Mon. the 24th before going to the airport, but we didn't have time. We also used them at Riverside Mill (POR) which is similar to the Pepper Market. Not quite the deal, but still one of the better options. We too used them at Mara, which was our least favorite of all the resorts we ate at. We got so much food at Beaches & Cream (2 vouchers for 4 people) that it almost made us sick--and we didn't order the kitchen sink--just 1 banana split. The rain kind of put a damper (no pun intended) on eating at any of the places that only had outside seating.

Wow, I hope they change their position... Maybe when they get paid they'll start taking them again... Don't forget, it's not just people that buy them through Connections, but many many people who buy package deals & I've even heard that they're sometimes given out after going through the DVC tour... The weird thing is, that it's just another Disney department that pays the bills.... How odd, it's a great value, hope it comes back!!

We ate at BC on Fathers day, there was a family next to us that used the vouchers and got a banana split, we were next to this table with two teenage girls and got the kitchen sink?

If the voucher says (on the back) that it's good at Pepper Market, how can they turn it down? Isn't that a legal document?

I'm quite sure that if someone looks at the back of the voucher, it will also say something about "subject to change without notice".

Not the back, but the front-- as CarolMN suggests-- "Participating locations are subject to change without notice."

We used 2 Q&C vouchers at Pepper Market on June 27th with no problem. I would have been upset as well. I'm glad you were able to use them.
